Nah, that's what happens when you try to regain your youthful looks by plastic surgery. Better to grow old gracefully and get yourself into decent shape by exercise.

I don't understand why people keep doing this. I guess maybe the first procedure or two actually does make them look better so they keep going and eventually it goes too far and they end up really weird looking. I found all the Lyndsey scenes in last years Arrested Development really hard to watch because all I could think about was what De Rossi had done to her face. She used to be stunning and now she looks all tight and pinched with no expressiveness to her face. It didn't look like ageing but too much surgery. Rose McGowan is another one who looks appalling, though at least some of her surgery was reconstructive after her face was badly damaged in a car accident a few years ago, so it may not all have been her choice.

The worst I've seen is probably Lark Voorhies, Lisa Turtle from Saved by the Bell. She's only 40 now but has done this to herself. http://theyfashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/lark-voorhies-plastic-surgery-before-after.jpg

Mickey Rourke is a prime example of this, he was the Brad Pitt of his day and packed it in for a time to fulfill his dream of being a boxer. After having his face smashed a few times, some surgery along with plenty of drink and drugs, and that's what you end up like in 2014.

Sad, but I bet he's got a hell of a book in him, if he hasn't written one already

I don't see anything wrong with how she looks in the older picture. She's nearly 60 now and looks like she's aged gracefully enoough. Fair play to her for not feeling the need to resort to plastic surgery and makeup layed on with a trowel just so she can try to look 30 again.

Explained? It all gets a bit weird/creepy when somebody can criticise another, because of the distance that separates their eyes. I mean seriously?

Do you even understand the concept of 'model' or 'supermodel? Their are meant to be walking billboards, they are a key weapon for a lot of advertising/marketing campaigns.

Were they marketing tools by any chance? I think you need to look at some recent photos of Elle, she'd be doing well if she looked as good as Kate. And for Cindly? Will I could never get past that man-like mandible. No feminine shape to her face whatsoever.

Yes, Moss was a marketing tool, she was used as she appealed to a certain section of the British population, Burberry wearing lads who thought she looked like one of them. That's all, to think she is a better looking woman than Elle is just ridiculous imo

No, just someone who finds people who measure the distance of a persons eyes. A little bit creepy.

Yes, Moss was a marketing tool,

I'm sure even her immense wealth doesn't assuage the profound emptiness she feels about not making a living in a way that AH's student population finds acceptable

I think it's sad we feel people loose everything when they look different.

Think of their inner character. It's kinda sad thinking of how the world sees them.

Can we bash only the mean pretty/ugly people it would make me feel better?

Nah. It's more that some of the early photos represent them being healthy and happy, particularly with themselves. When they have a lot of plastic surgery or have gotten very unhealthy looking it can often be a sign of a lot of issues, insecurities - and in that kind of environment I'm not surprised - and it's sad to see. If it's just plain old getting old, I don't think it's that shocking anymore

No, she was a marketing tool & even in her "heyday' wouldn't have held a candle to Elle McPherson or Cindy Crawford, even today she's not in their class imo

Exactly. Elle McPherson et al had glamorous photoshoots on beaches etc. Kate Moss ushered in the heroin addict in a public toilet photoshoot trend of photograpy and the beginning of stick insect models.

She's been really sick, for a long time. She has rheumatoid arthritis I think and was bedridden at one stage. She's bloated from the steroids and has said she's lucky to be able to leave the house.

She's also still deadly, there will be no slagging Kathleen Turner.

The outside now matches the inside!

It kills me to see Courtney Cox now. She was stunning in Friends but screwing with her face has left her looking weird.

But sometimes people do lose everything when their looks change. Sometimes when a girl relies too much on her looks she doesn't have "inner character". If they're used to going out, getting chatted up, having their ego stroked, free drinks, a rake of lads on speed dial who'll run around after her bringing her/collecting her from places, using her looks to prove she can take other people's boyfriends ect.

When those looks start to fade and she's no longer the most beautiful girl in the room, at most average, and guys are walking past her to chat the girl behind her, she starts having to spend her own money on drinks or taxis home, then yeah, life is much different and it's quite hard to go from having all that, to not getting second glances anymore.

Obviously it's not the same in all cases but in a lot, it is.

In fact there was a thread recently enough on another part of boards where a woman was proper distressed because she wasnt the most beautiful anymore and she wasnt getting hit on as much and she was really upset, considering all sorts of cosmetic procedures.

Remember Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing when she had a nose job? She said:

"I went in the operating room a celebrity—and came out anonymous. It was like being in a witness protection program or being invisible".

Have to agree. Kate Moss is slightly above average at best. She seems like a proper **** too. There was a story in the newspaper where for a laugh she pushed a young boy of about 10 off a pier where he was fishing.

There's a lot of current supermodels who I wouldn't class as good looking at all. Cara Delivigne, Agnes Deyn, the Jagger 1 with the gap teeth. When I think back to the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Elle McPherson, Christie Turlington and Helena Christiensen I have to wonder how standards have sliped so much.

Claudia was lovely! Jerry Hall in her prime was gorge.
Fashion became an industry they did not want to pay huge amounts for superstars so they made most models anonymous clones.

If anyone was ever wondering why Haley Joel Osment never made it as an adult star, a quick Google image search should sate your curiosity.

Debbie Harry is nearly 70, dude. If my mot looked like that at that age I wouldn't be too put out.

Thread has become a bit silly now. Posting pics of celebs who are now in their 50's and 60's and comparing them to pics from their 20's is just stupid. Of course their not going to look as good. It's common ****ing sense.
