    I think a lot of very pretty teenagers are outrageous looking adults, I know a girl from college who was absolutely stunning but now at 21, she's nothing special anymore. She's not ugly, but she's average. And she's still got that pretty girl mentality, that people will buy her drinks and flirt with her. And they don't much anymore. That must be hard!! Kind like being demoted.

    I think there's something in this all right. Many people in the 16-21 range can be seen as good looking simply by dint of having a young face, impeccable skin, no lines or wrinkles, just a general fresh appearance and complexion. It's probably more relevant to women mind you. I certainly can think of a good few examples in my own experience.

    After this time, when the face matures you tend to be able to see more who is genuinely good looking and who simply had the advantage of youth on their side.

    Nah, that's what happens when you try to regain your youthful looks by plastic surgery. Better to grow old gracefully and get yourself into decent shape by exercise.

    The opposite apparently.He didn't like the way he looked because he thought it was too soft or girlie.

    I think it's sad we feel people loose everything when they look different.

    Think of their inner character. It's kinda sad thinking of how the world sees them.

    Can we bash only the mean pretty/ugly people it would make me feel better?

    Have to agree. Kate Moss is slightly above average at best. She seems like a proper **** too. There was a story in the newspaper where for a laugh she pushed a young boy of about 10 off a pier where he was fishing.

    There's a lot of current supermodels who I wouldn't class as good looking at all. Cara Delivigne, Agnes Deyn, the Jagger 1 with the gap teeth. When I think back to the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Elle McPherson, Christie Turlington and Helena Christiensen I have to wonder how standards have sliped so much.

    Were they marketing tools by any chance? I think you need to look at some recent photos of Elle, she'd be doing well if she looked as good as Kate. And for Cindly? Will I could never get past that man-like mandible. No feminine shape to her face whatsoever.
