I don't see why not! If you can pick it up and get it fitted sure no harm!

Yeah absolutely. Where would you pick one up though? And would you be talking €000's??

Jaysis i couldn't tell you! Maybe try look at ebay for a general price, if they're not on there, then its a trip to the main dealer and you could be looking at a fair price, like a factory upgrade body kit of one of my cars is close to 1200, with no primer or anything on the parts

His was petrol and manual, and going to say a 01.
Remember being blown away by the bangernomics of it! It was parked next to a €115k bmw 6series at a meet and it was getting a lot of my attention.

Saw a cool looking black camry yesterday around Edenmore, Dublin 5. It was 1992 - 1995 and a Japanese import. Kind of looked like this.

I thought it was cool for what it was.

So i lost 3 intake valves when they contacted with the pistons. All because the bloody water pump gave! Intake cam jumped timing and bang :( should be going tomorrow :) dgt, i've only put 4 hours into it but that included a refitting of new pump and belt to chance my arm :)

EVERYONE here is going to say the accord, but I'm going to say Mondeo. 2.0 engine, plenty of poke, one of the best specs, and colours. I'd run away with that if I was changing cars.

Two oil changes done. Mine an the ol fella's. I always make sure to hand tighten the oil filter, but it was an absolute pig to remove. So had to use a screwdriver. How I felt when finally removed it.

Anyone ever use this rust convertor spray from Dupicolor, its sprays on clear and turns black as it converts the rust, When working on the car I noticed a small bit of brown at a seam in the rear door sill, hopefully I can be lazy and just spray this, my car is black so it should not be a problem.

The Mondeo has got WAY more space in it too, the Accord is very cramped in the back seats.

Looks like the Accord has more kit apart from the sunroof of the Mondeo which I would really like.

Im guessing the Accord is of a higher quality but a better engine in the Mondeo.

Which would be the better drive?

Can't comment on the accord but the mondeo is a beauty to drive. Most other cars I've driven have been a big drop down. I've had a few drives in the 2.0 which was great. I have the 1.8 unit and it returns great power and has plenty of grunt. It's so comfy and roomy for longer journeys and once the Cruise Control is activated you can sit back and relax. Build quality is high aswell, I've suffered no major problems thus far (touch wood!)

I've taken both for test drives and both are very good cars.

It's generally accepted that the Mondeo is the best handling car in it's class and that the Honda's engine is one of the most refined diesels available.

I'm 6' 4" so I always test to see if I could sit behind myself and I couldn't do that in the Honda but could in the Mondeo.

Tbh it was the interiors of both that disappointed me most, the Honda seemed a bit old fashioned and the Mondeo seemed a bit tacky but that's just a personal thing.

I'd say you should drive them both and see which one you prefer. They're both fine cars.

    Thanks,

I have driven them both in recent weeks but Accord was top of the range and the Mondeo was the Zetec model and was the 08 model so will have to try the up to date version in a Titanium X.

Also have to see which one the missus prefers......need to accommodate a Mountain Bike also with the seats down!

Tbh I'm kinda looking to change at the minute and being able to fit in a mountain bike is high on my priorities too.

I've an A4 saloon currently but I want some more space (for work as well as the mtb) so I'm probably going to go for an estate car when I change.

I've test driven loads of cars recently and I'm changing my mind all the time, but at the minute I'm thinking about a Seat Exeo Estate Tdi 170.

Seems like a good value option to me but I'm changing my mind all the time! lol

I was actually shocked! There was a point a few years back where I couldn't drive to the shop without hitting a checkpoint. Looking forward to next years one
