    Eurosport saying Lindegaard released?

    Surprised at that one

Can't say I am; Amos seemed to be getting the time on the becnh in pre-season. Honestly worry this means we need a better back up keeper now too; would not want Amos in nets for a long period of time...

Chelsea and City hardly get deals done instantly either. (In response to whoever said to get whoever does there business here)

City and Chelsea have bought five players each, to the best of my knowledge. And they didn't even need five each.

Utd effectively had no manager from May until the latter half of July which couldn't have helped.

That has roughly what to do with them getting deals done quickly?

    Costa was a saga.
    Mangala was no different.

If you want to say they identified weaknesses this summer and filled them that hardly explains why Jose was able to discuss with everybody Chelseas weaknesses last year and still do nothing about it.

By the way, Chelsea needed a striker, they needed at least one midfielder, they needed a left back and a centre back. I would say they needed five quite easily actually

City need to replace the players they are letting go, they have to have a squad capable of competing on four fronts.

And I'm sure you want players equal to or of better quality than the players those teams are getting. But they are in the Champions League. And they are much more likely to be in the Champions League next season than Man Utd.

Experienced keeper that was decent backup to our no.1

We are kinda lacking backup in general at present

He's not that experienced he's played 93 games in 10 seasons.

    Fair enough...

Let's just hope De Gea does not get injured so!

Ah right, he wasn't happy to be back up though and in fairness he isn't that much better then the likes of Johnson and Amos who will be a lot happier to sit on the bench.

I know what you mean but the way luck goes you can see away to Chelsea and De Gea is out.....

I'd still just about prefer to had Anders between the sticks especially since we are only starting the LVG era and with the amount of supposed and mooted changes elsewhere on the pitch you'd expect some stability in one of the most important areas.....

Agreed... if he's gone that would scare me more than the shortage of numbers in defence.

So it will be 7 o clock Italian time?

Im gonna go out on a limb here and assume matters like these are done in business hours like 8-5/6

Why would there be an annoucement after this time?

Can see Vidal moving to Bayern, wouldn't that be fun to watch:pac:

Let me guess: "Arturo Vidal has agreed a new contract with Juventus"

(I'll go bat sh*t crazy if he actually signs for us)

???? he is one of the best back up keepers in the league and i dont think ive seen one story involving him in recent years that wasnt outside the ordinary "i want to play" story that normally is associated with footballers.

ill put it this way, id rather him in nets if DDG gets injured before Amos or Johnstone.

getting rid of him makes very little sense unless we are signing another keeper instead of him.

This is what we're trying to compete against - the £382m team!

On the basis that I think we'll sign 1-2 defenders but might not replace Lindegaard and then have to rely on 1 of the youngsters in a big game

Think it depends on any injuries and fitness worries. He has a strong chance though.
