Dublin is becoming ever crowded with all these foreign folk bunking 10 to a room in some city centre tenament. Rent prices are rising and so is the cost of living. So as a thought I had an Idea...

Waterford has an affordable stock of decent quality housing, needs a bit of gentrication in some areas, cheaper cost of living and could be potentially the hamburg of Ireland. Tramore could be the bray of waterford and so forth... London would not be too dissimilar in terms of location in comparison to the uk...

Will more than likely be shot down but just a thought

Nicer city than Dublin imo. Waterford and the surrounding county is one of the nicest places in the country.
Only people who say its shít are the people who either havent been there, or spent only a few years in W.I.T and never did much other than piss around and get drunk.

Waterford is not a city and is not very pretty to look at but it has some pleasant qualities. The surrounding areas such as Dunmore East, Woodstown and the many other coastal areas are gorgeous.

Its not a city because "I say so and i either have a superiority or inferiority complex".

Eh, says who? The Local government act lists Waterford as a city, hence the city council.

Where does this confusion about Waterford's city status actually come from?

Republic of Ireland only has 3 city councils, and Waterford ain't one of 'em.

I always find Deise folk balanced types, as in a chip on each shoulder balanced types.
