Well at least you admit this as many on this thread would not. They see Hamas as the legitimate government who just happen to rule Gaza like a dictatorship and want to wipe out all Jews, but a legitimate government none the less.
See above. I suppose it was disgusting that the UK didn't hold elections during World War II? Bloody dictators...
And once again conveniently ignoring that Hamas came to power AFTER Israeli siege turned Gaza into a prison camp.

Have you dreamed up of definition of "terrorist" that doesn't define both Hamas and Israel yet? Don't worry, every other pro-Zionist here has either failed or more often studiously ignored the question.

You would prefer this sort of carry on then,

    Israel and its black immigrants
    Send 'em home

'His interior minister, Eli Yishai, a rabbi heading Shas, a political party representing Jews of eastern origin, vies with Mr Netanyahu for incendiary headlines. "We need to transform military bases in which we can imprison all of them without exception," he told a national newspaper, Maariv, on May 30th. "The infiltrators are going to reach the Promised Land but they will only see it through bars." Migrants, he added, had raped dozens of Jewish women and spread AIDS. Doctors working with asylum seekers retorted that 99.5% of Israeli AIDS victims and HIV carriers had contracted the virus elsewhere.'

They already did send in the military which lead to almost 70 dead Israelis. Why do you think they did that? For the crack of it?

There a number of posters on boards.ie who have served in the military and the message that is clear from them is that the media have this unrealistic expectation of some utopian clean war where no innocent bystander should get killed because of todays technology. Well, war is not a video game and its certainly not perfect not matter what people on Facebook or on the News will tell you. With so many bombs dropped on Gaza the past few weeks its a wonder how more have not died if we are being honest but don't let objectivity get in the way of a mind made up to wag the finger.

In a case where the only two options are to bomb a civilian hospital or send in a ground force with a high casualty rate, the only morally defensible decision is to send in the troops. Unfortunately that is the role of a soldier.

But of course, Israel are not in that either/or situation. Their iron dome allows for them to retreat behind their borders in safety. That would mean giving up their illegal settlements and inhumane siege but that in itself would only lead to more peace.

The West Bank and East Jerusalem is Palestinian land under international law. Do you not recognise this?

I hope you are trying to rile people and are not actually that deluded. If that is the level of discourse in israel then there is little hope

Testing the knowledge of the people who've got involved in this debate and think it's only been happening in the past month. They answered as expected :)

    It was a joke.

You know, because Israel ignores the UN resolutions on partition plans, have illegal settlements, kills civilians, protected from having to answer for its crimes and its defenders call any attempt to highlight them all anti Israeli sentiment. Therefore international law or the UN resolutions in relation to what is Palestine and what is Israel could be written off as anti Israel sentiment by the UN. And I'm sure it has on many occasions.

    Have a read of this:
    http://bbc.com/news/magazine-27883685
So here's a Christian Palestinian family who are committed to peace, who legally own their land yet the Israelis have bulldozed their livelihood, blocked the entrance to their land, forced the family out at gunpoint and forced them into paying tens of thousands of their own money to try and fight for their right to stay on their own land. They have been fighting for nearly a quarter of a century when they have the deeds in black and white.
But of course they're not stealing land at all.

Israeli deputy ambassador accuses Irish group of anti-semitism

    http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/news/israeli-deputy-ambassador-accuses-irish-group-of-antisemitism-30493770.html
Nurit Tinari Modai gave an interview on Thursday with Galei Tzahal, a radio network operated by the Israeli Defence Forces, in which she both praised and condemned Irish attitudes to Israel.

"It is very hysterical," she added.

These "anti-Israel activists" are "ignorant, anti-semitic, with an intensely rooted hatred of Jews," said Modai.

However, the Deputy Ambassador praised the group of Irish people who defend Israel, saying:

“I would call them the Righteous among the Nations in modern terminology, I salute them morning and night.”

This is a woman that once called for those who oppose Israeli policy to be named and shamed by media, and have aspersions cast on their reasoning for such opposition.. citing that it might be because they are gay!

    http://www.broadsheet.ie/2012/06/13/a-message-from-israels-deputy-ambassador-to-ireland/

The hateful cunt should be booted out of the country for misrepresenting Irish people in her official role. She's supposed to be a diplomat.. not someone that drives a wedge between people with legitimate grievances. Herself and her husband are disliked even in Israel.. he was arrested for and admitted to harassing and threatening a woman he had an affair with.
