Focus estate or avensis estate?

Hi guys. Im thinking of buying an estate car but I dont do much mileage so I guess I shouldn't buy a diesel. I was thinking either a focus 1.6 petrol estate (05-07) or avensis estate 1.8 (04-07). Which would be best or would a 2l diesel avensis be ok on small runs? Cheers

Irish spec Avensis estates are only available in base model.
Consider a Corolla Verso too or a Corolla 1.6 estate (also only available in base model)
