an Unmarried couple buy a house together in joint names with mortgage in joint names and each has an adult child.
Anyone know the ownership rights should one pass away earlier than planned?

Legal advice on the way but just curious of others experiences ....

Depends if its tenants in common or joint tenancy. Adult children not relevant

Currently looking, both have permanent jobs, no issue getting a mortgage.

If they have already been living together for a period of time there will be some inheritance rights implicit from the Civil Partnership & Cohabitant legislation from 2010 but wills will be strongly advisable. The mortgage firm is likely to require something anyway.
