Car Stereo plays without key in ignition?

Hey guys I got a 96 Civic Saloon off a friend and the battery went dead overnight and wouldn't start. Jumpstarted it no problem and is back driving, only odd thing is the car stereo still plays cds, radio etc even when the key is out and all else off. Is it down to bad wiring that's causing the battery to drain?

    Any help appreciated!

I think most car radios do this, but cut out after 30 mins or so to protect battery if engine not running.

It's wired up wrong, should be wired to ignition live, instead of live. I assume it's a front loader cd player? Ie. Sony/Philips etc
If yiu take the radio out the block connector you can swap the pins around.. On mine think it was red went into the yellow and vice versa
