Bigotry, such as the type displayed by Fox News anchor Sean Hannity ia dangerous. The propaganda that he and his ilk are spouting is heinous. The Israel Palestine conflict is extremely complex, but Hannity is attempting to over simplify the whole thing. Painting Israel as the no questions asked good guys is disgusting.
As part of the interview, Hannity asked Munayyer, “what part of this can’t you get through your thick head?”, before stopping the interview short when Munayyer refused to answer “yes” to the question “Is Hamas a terrorist organisation?” He invites a speaker on to his show to give the Palestinian point of view and then pushes his own agenda on the guy, refusing to let him say anything. He then ask the Israeli speaker a question, who gets 2 minutes of unbroken speaking time. Munayyer, appalled at this tries to retort and is told to shut up.

    Heres Brand's response to Hannity

Well Fox News is Rupert Murdoch's propaganda channel. Murdoch is a Jew/Yankee sympathizer. Anyone getting their news from Fox is a fool.

Did anyone here go to the march in Dublin? There was a great turnout.

With that kind of rhetoric, you'd probably get a job with them.

I would love to punch Sean Hannity straight in the face. Repeatedly.

But he is a 'great friend' of America and Israel.

People who boycott US products, particularly US military products, would have to include the internet - so you are unlikely to find those guys on here.

The internet infrastructure began it's life as a public funded military project to interconnect computers.
One of the greatest things about the Internet is that nobody really owns it. It is a global collection of networks, both big and small. These networks connect together in many different ways to form the single entity that we know as the Internet. In fact, the very name comes from this idea of interconnected networks.

The Internet Society, a non-profit group established in 1992, oversees the formation of the policies and protocols that define how we use and interact with the Internet.

The World Wide Web began life in the place where you would least expect it: at CERN, the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva, Switzerland. Published content on the internet is a lot more sophisticated than the early basic HTML pages incorporating multi-media content etc.

Might be some photos on the IPSC page as there seems to be a good few folks with cameras. But will probably be ignored by the main stream media as it does not fit with the agenda of the the powers the be :(

I think it might be useful to post this following article I came across on Facebook by a Palestinian activist.

"Before you begin to develop an opinion on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, you must first question your sources of information, and also understand the way journalism is manipulated in the West. The manner in which things are reported doesn't necessarily reflect the reality. You must always ask: who benefits from skewed and misrepresented facts? For example, Israel receives billions of dollars of aid from our American taxes...so it is in their best interest to "look good" in front of the American public. Therefore, they must demonize "the other side" by throwing words around like: "terrorists," "human shields," "Islamist," "terror tunnels," "self-genocide," and so on and so forth. There are many accusations made with zero substantial evidence, and even when claims are disproved by UN investigations, the liars insist on the lies. Be aware of this.
If you have never lived in Gaza, West Bank, or Israel, you can't just rely on your emotions and bad journalism. You have to read the history, seek different sources of news (like local reporters), get in touch with people living there, research facts and statistics, read what "the other side" has to say. Only when you've expanded your knowledge could your opinion become validated.
Always ask questions and investigate before you fall victim to systematic brainwashing, and thus allow the continuation of oppression and genocide.”

This, so much. Especially the part about how journalism is manipulated in the west.

RTE amazingly had a few minutes coverage of it on the 6 news. Most cover I've seen so far.

Dr. Bashir Al-Hajjar was killed today by an Israeli missile while riding in an UNRWA car. His crime: he treated the wounded and taught nursing at the Islamic University of Gaza.

There's good and bad journalism in "the West" - but it's pretty much a free press, albeit one with a lot of vested interests.

If he's campaigning for the same sort of freedom of expression in Palestine, I wish him well - but that's probably the least of their worries at the moment.

Come on goy, you know full well he was a Hamas terrorist who made rockets and stored them in the university. Probably used his own children as human shields.

She I believe lives in the US and the article is not referring to a free press in Gaza.Perhaps you could read it again. It's addressed to the likes of us.

I have read it, and I believe it is addressed to the likes of people who get their news - and often it is their only preferred news source - from very biased US sources.

So I wish them well in that as well, but it is not addressed to the likes of us.

Is it though? The Guardian had their computers smashed by GCHQ for daring to report on the Snowden leaks, Julian Assange is under investigation in the US, a journalist here in Ireland was fired for questioning Martin Callinan, Carol Coleman was ripped apart by the Irish establishment for grilling Bush instead of idolizing him... Etc.

We have legal freedom of the press, but there's a massive amount of pressure on the media to act in a certain way. Is it truly free?
