It would appear he is rehab bound "I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced."

What we thought was a slow amble he was actually break dancing in his own mind.
Pity, wonder will that be the end of him and the three white lines.

Shame as he has so much potential. Hopefully he doesn't go the same way as Anthony Kim i.e. his career tailing off to nothing.

In fairness loads of money, Your one , and coke.

"Where did it all go wrong".

    I blame the i ♥ TM . Adds.

The only way you could get a pro to do that......

So the two month "injury break" back in the start of 2012 after which Dustin's caddy was sacked seems interesting combined with an angry Fijian who's out for blood and won't be bought off by the PGA Tour......

I'd forgotten about him too - pretty well disappeared now. I'd say it's hard enough for these guys to keep on the straight and narrow.

With Golf being an Olympic Sport these days the drug testing method has changed, not governed by the PGA any more, not as easy for Mr Finchman and the boys to be forgiving anymore.
Sad to see though. Like to see him get clean and win some....Paddy Power has a bit of my money on the back of DJ.

First thing that sprang to mind was PED's.

The Anthony Kim comparisons are interesting because if this was a policy by the tour to mandate 'help' for players with 'issues' or they don't get back on tour, there are rumours Kim followed the Amy Winehouse song, no no no.

If it is because he was told to do it then it may be a pointless endeavour.

The player was in good form, has been out for 'injury' before, so what will change.

Having personal experience with people who were given ultimatums, they only accept this to make the hassle go away, and don't get better because they are not ready and the denial is just ridiculous.

He never recovered from when Ian Poulter shoulder charged him out of the way at the Ryder Cup

Good.I'm broke from backing him every week.Gets near the top of the leaderboard and then implodes.I think even though he gives a very relaxed impression,he cant handle the pressure.Maybe a break from golf to reassess himself will do him good.
Still I think he cracks under pressure.I will always remember(and never forgive him)when he was in with a chance of winning the British Open a few years ago and blew(shanked) a simple second shot out of bounds and ruined his winning chance.

    Surely a bit dramatic!!!

interesting, he has been playing very well. If he was completely no-where and announced this you'd say fair enough, but he went out in the second to last group of the Open only two weeks ago....

Whatever it is, I hope he gets it sorted. He's fantastic to watch and a very good ryder cup player, so will be missed over the next 3 months.....

I think that's a bit unfair. Right enough, he's had a few issues in major championships, the pressure these top golfers are under must be immense, but yet they have the ability to stand up on the first tee in the final group on Sunday and ping a drive straight down the middle.
And despite making a mess down the stretch in a major, still have the balls to come back and compete is subsequent championships.

Because golf doesn't have a problem with drugs...

You'd think as a sporting organisation.

They'd know brushing bans under the carpet ends in tears.

Apparently this sort of 'injury'/'personal issue' thing is how Golf deals with its 'issues'. If even half the rumours were to be true there are some serious abuse issues (of all sorts) in the game...

Hes a good player so whatever the issue is here I hope it gets sorted and he comes back and wins the Major his skill merits

Has anybody else seen these rumours from America about DJ and a certain other players wife?

Golf.com had an article on the drugs today and this was part of it.

    http://m.golf.com/1033938/johnson-suspended-for-failed-drug-test/

"Johnson's conduct has long been a topic of conversation among close observers of the Tour. He is often seen in bars near his home in Jupiter, Fla., and is also known to have had a sexual indiscretion with at least one wife of a PGA Tour player"
