    It's a bit above average for an 8 year old petrol car but by no way astronomical, if it has a full verifiable service history, is in good condition, priced accordingly and a mechanic gives it the thumbs up then I would not be concerned about the mileage. Timing belt and water pump on that engine are due a change every 60k miles afaik so it should be due again shortly if not already done. Use this to negotiate on the asking price and budget to get them replaced yourself sooner rather than later.
