To hide the tunnel work from Israeli intelligence, the entrances are mostly
located on the bottom floor of houses, mosques, schools or other public
    buildings.

ok, Assad = ruthless blood thirsty monster who even went as far as to kill all those innocent children in a chemical attack... lets go get him!

Israel = kill innocent defenseless children in missile strikes.... but they have the right to defend themselves.

    I think you misunderstand.

The Christian Iraqi crisis is happening right now. Far worse than the Gaza crisis just as deserving of righteous indignation.

Here is a link that's safe enough. Most will have graphic images of be headings even of little girls, and crucifixions.

Yet, no talk on boards about it, no current talk. I think the most current is a month old.

I'm just wondering why no protests for countries to go and do something there? Why no call for America to go back in?

No protests on the streets or headlines on the news? Yet Israel is seen as what's wrong with this world?

The BBC's Orla Guerin was given access by the Israeli military to a tunnel they say was used by Palestinian militants

Not like the IDF have never misrepresented things or anything......

I suspect Ms Guerin is old and wise enough to prepare a balanced, factual report for the BBC.

Edit: Orla Geurin was in the video clip, the article was written by an Israeli academic. I tend to trust BBC to be factual.

There is a big difference to a civil war and an occupying force committing genocide on a defenceless people.

    No disagreement there.

Rank hypocrisy that you are again making excuses of Israel murderous assault on civilians. The entire idea that a poor impoverish coastal region that is under siege is some how a danger to Nuclear armed Israel is utterly absurd, and shows that your view of the world is delusional.

So the Palestinians will still be under siege, and the state of Israel will continue to expand outside her borders, and murder Palestinians as they please. Its Israel that the aggressor, and not the Palestinians. The Israeli government chose this conflict, for there own political ends.

The fact that you support the murder of civilians, and then use the murder of civilians elsewhere to distract from the issue is disgusting. It should be noted that Israel murder of civilians is defended down to the ground, where as no one in the right mind would defend ISIS.

Hamas are are far from poor and impoverished. They are being financed by Qatar to the tune of $1 billion a year.

Israel is waging war on Hamas. Hamas feel fit to place it's arsenal and tunnels amongst the civilians.

Can you not see this is going to cause civilian casualties. This is what Hamas want, to further their cause.

The UN are on the ground helping.

Why is Hamas using UN schools to stock pile their weapons? Build tunnels in peoples home. Who does this? And the people voted for them.

Israel attacked because it will run out of tamir missiles to shoot down hamas rockets, so it was a race for hamas to fire as many rockets to reach that point or Israel to destroy the hamas rockets before it reached that point. They are probably getting very close to running out of interceptor rockets so I'm sure people will be happy when Israeli's begin to die from Hamas rockets to even up the score, as the inequality of dying seems to be a major issue. If Hamas didn't fire rockets, Israel wouldn't be doing what they are doing. The other issues aside you don't pick a fight with a giant if you don't want to get smacked in the head, Hamas wants to get smacked in the head and have as much destruction around them to shame Israel into stopping their campaign but they will continue so they can run down the tamir rockets and start killing Israeli's.
Either way there is no solution to this problem except demographics and time. Eventually Israel withers from within. Time does that. Alot of suffering until then. I would be surprised if by the end of the century Jews in that part of the world haven't been subjected to pogroms again. I won't be around to see it. Either way all religion is poison and especially the ones that came out of that part of the world.

If you cared you would have started a thread. Just the same old using the plight of another group for cheap political point scoring. Disgusting imho.

Well I'm quite interested to know more about this so could you provide a link to some resources on the subject. I have to say I'm not sure why Israel would let that information out in the public domain so I presume the information must have been leaked?

What's happening in Iraq are crimes. In Gaza it's war for Israel's survival. So the citizens of Israel can have normal lives and not have to run to bomb shelters every few hours.

The fact that you think a state defending itself from terrorists are criminals is beyond compare.

What danger did that UN school pose to the Israeli people?

My advice is to just ignore those whose only defence for the continued slaughter of children is that it's hypocritical that we are not attacking Syrian, Iraqi etc for their actions.

Take deep breaths and only answer and debate with people who can actually put forward an argument. It'll make your life way easier, trust me

World powers must hold Israel accountable -UN rights boss:

GENEVA, July 31 (Reuters) - The United Nations' senior human rights official said on Thursday she believed Israel was deliberately defying international law in its military offensive in Gaza and that world powers should hold it accountable for possible war crimes.

Israel has attacked homes, schools, hospitals, and U.N. premises in apparent violation of the Geneva Conventions, Navi Pillay, U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, said.

"Therefore I would say that they appear to be defying... deliberate defiance of obligations that international law imposes on Israel," Pillay told a news briefing.

"This is why again and again I say we cannot allow impunity, we cannot allow this lack of accountabiliity to go on."

She also criticised the United States, Israel's main ally, for failing to use its influence with the Jewish state to halt the carnage.

"Many of my remarks have been directed to the United States since they are a party with influence over Israel to do much more to stop the killing, to bring the parties to the negotiating table. I've called also for an end to the blockade and an end to the occupation."

Pillay said that she was appalled at Washington consistently voting against resolutions on Israel in the Human Rights Council, General Assembly and Security Council.

"They have not only provided the heavy weaponry which is now being used by Israel in Gaza but they've also provided almost $1 billion in providing the 'Iron Domes' to protect the Israels from rocket attacks," she said. "But no such protection has been provided to Gazans against the shelling."

"But international law is clear that where a state is unable or unwilling to carry out investigations and prosecutions, the international (criminal justice) system applies," she said.

Previous U.N. commissions of inquiry into Israel incursions into Gaza have called for the U.N. Security Council to refer the situation to the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), according to Pillay, a former U.N. war crimes judge.

"Accountability and justice cannot be expected to be achieved through (Israeli) domestic proceedings. This is evident from the lack of adequate investigations by Israel and no attempt whatsoever made by the international community to implement the recommendations made by the Gaza fact-finding mission report," Pillay said.

Yes but in his eyes Israel are the murdering monsters and anyone who dares speak for them are happy to see civilians and innocent children die.

No matter what you say Israel is automatically wrong for merely existing.

Yes, but what can you do when the evidence points to Israel being "murdering monsters" in the first place. Evidence leads to bias, just depends how accurate the evidence is. The overwhelming evidence points to the "murdering monster hypothesis" and that's exactly where your bias and mine should lay. By the way, using the word 'bias' doesn't falsify a stance, it tends to be used in a propaganda-like way as a linguistic weapon to dismiss the other side.

Amazing that people will post a link that doesn't back up the claim. There is nothing in that link saying Hamas stored rockets there. The claim was Hamas were responsible, and nothing in that link says they did. There are numerous groups who fire rockets and not just Hamas, it could have easily been one of them, who btw Hamas were actively stopping from doing so, until Netanyahu chose to start the current conflict.

So again, can you prove that Hamas were behind this, and btw next time read what the link actually says.
BBC article says Hamas start tunnels in homes, mosques, schools and other public buildings.

Yes, with information from the IDF, as per the part of the article I quoted.

Article doesn't back you up on that....... In fact it doesn't even mention Hamas. Pathetic that you are misrepresenting what UNRWA is saying:
UNRWA strongly and unequivocally condemns the group or groups responsible for this flagrant violation of the inviolability of its premises under international law.

Now why are you purposefully misrepresenting the content of the link you have posted multiple times on this thread? Seems to me that you don't care for the facts and will misrepresent anything when it suits.
