Then there will have to be two states with the current borders.

The only part of Palestine that is not actually occupied is Gaza, there are settlements littered throughout the West Bank. You agree these should be abandoned?

Hamas is responsible for all the deaths in Gaza,

The people in Gaza knew exactly what they were voting for and what would happen if Hamas got elected.

They are not disappointed, what they wanted is happening.

It's sad to think that if a ceasefire is implemented people think that's the end of the bloodshed and the hardship when this couldn't be further from the truth. Let's not forget the blockade imposed on Gaza making normal life impossible for it's civilians.

The Israelies treatment of anyone who is not their own is questionable. Ask irish soldiers who have served on UN missions in Lebanon about their experience with the IDF, and you will be hard pushed to find any willing to give up a good word about them.

Let's face it, Hamas are an awful organisation, but they are the making of Israel and it's treatment of the Palestinians over the last 50 years. Push people that far for that long and extremism is always going to stem and flourish in a scenario like that.

Sky news (yea I know:rolleyes: ) had a Palestinian woman on the other day who had lost her child to IDF bombings in the previous conflict. I couldn't get over how level headed she was, and how little anger or hatred she had towards Israel. She just wanted the killing on both sides to stop as in her words, "No parent should have to experience want it's like to lose a child, whether you are from Palestine or Israel".

Yet I can't ever see it stopping, until the Israeli government take a drastic change in attitudes towards non-Israelies

I wonder will you say that if there is a major explosion in an Israeli city in the near future resulting in the deaths of innocent children?

And that'll bring their dead back to life?

    Which "they" would that be?

    Yes. Problem?

What does the above even mean? Your blind support of the IDF's excessive force just because you're a loyalist (so it's the thing you're "supposed" to do) is hilariously predictable.

    No, i'm not a Loyalist.

I work on the principle of if you hit me i will hit you back.
And to deter you doing it again i will hit you hard.

This is what Israel is doing.
It is fair and as i see it, only terrorist supporters, mainly the same ones on this Forum that excused IRA murders support Hamas.

How can anyone support such an outright evil group as Hamas?

    Same on you that do.
You are siding with the Devil.

That and it should be done in accordance with law as it is a violation of the territorial integrity of Palestine.

Israel will give them materials to re-build.

Though no doubt they will use the materials to build tunnels to attack Israel instead.

Think of the Children i hear you say?

If Hamas did they would use it to build their Children new homes.
They don't give a damn about their own kids in their eagerness to attack the Jews.
I asked for clarification on the above crazed babble - I probably should not have bothered.
Must say, for someone to sneer at children being slaughtered in their droves - just to be all "Israel, yeh!" - is a particular low.

Once again we come full circle, who is the occupying force? Who is collectively punishing an entire nation for the actions of a few? Who has built illegal settlements beyond it's defined borders? Who has used every opportunity to grab more land? Every time peace talks have started they've collapsed as more settlements were built, they've actively used these periods as opportunities to illegally expand their state and violate the territorial integrity of Palestine. How can Palestinians be expected to accept the rule of a country that has dozens of laws that specifically discriminate against them?

Why accept a ceasefire when you will still be blockaded, still moved from your home etc?

Just because the IDF would stop the bombings, doesn't mean the quality of life drastically improves. That is the Palestinians reasoning for not accepting the ceasefires.

They voted Hamas in knowing what would happen.

I would not blame Israel if they created an exclusion Zone so they could not be attacked.

Even if it took a thousand miles to do it.

So drop them some decent weapons, up the death toll on the Isreali side and let everyone lump it in with the rest of the wars they briefly cared about and get back to spending their Saturdays in the pub or shopping or whatever else they normally do.
do you think there are genuine people who care about such conflicts? or are we all just "outraged for the sake of it" and should just go back to spending our saturdays in the pub or shopping?

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

Then there's at least that then. It just has me wondering if Fatah are secular why vote for Hamas to represent you?

    *sigh

Because Fatah have a very corrupt element. Because when the reform element of Fatah wanted to run Marhan Barghouti (sp?) against Abbas, the US sent a representative to visit him in prison and informed him that if he won they'd do all in their power to utterly isolate the Palestinian people on the international stage.

It's the auld "I don't care, therefore nobody else does and is just being 'faux' outraged" chestnut.

J That is the Palestinians reasoning for not accepting the ceasefires.

Their reasoning for not wanting peace is they want to destroy Israel and kill every Jew.

They will not stop until the achieve this.

You know this and yet you still support Hamas?

You them support the murder of all Israel's Jews.

Yes because I have explicitly stated I support Hamas and the murder of Jews. Excellent summing up from my post there.

Believe it or not a lot of Palestinians don't want the extermination of the Jews. You might not know, but Palestinians and Jews in the past worked side by side, shared meals together, were friends.

Then the Israeli government decided it needed more land, and decided that these Palestinians who lived on this land for generations were now breaking the law by being there.

If you bother to read my other post on the previous page and combine it with the post you replied to, you will be hard pushed to find any hint of support for the murder of civilians and the support of Hamas. But if you should happen upon any evidence eluded to your notion please do inform me.

Wrong as they would have already done it.
The Arabs hid and fire using their babies as shields for protection.

The Jews fire to protect their babies.

I keep seeing "Well they voted Hamas in what did they expect?" If that is your position for argument then rest that didn't vote for Hamas, over 50%, are just collateral damage I assume?

    Table of electoral results...
