Do you have an extra room in your house and want to fill it with a fellow IADT student?

Are you attending IADT alone and want to find a place to stay?

Do you need to round up a gang of people to rent as a group?

Have you heard about great accommodation near the campus and wish to share the wealth?

If any of these apply to you, please post here. When posting, fill the 'Title' part of the post with what you're looking for, be it a housemate, tenant or whatever. It'll make it easier for people to find what they want.

And please, no phone numbers or email addresses in the thread, if you see an offer you wish to take up, contact that person by private message here on Boards.ie

    Thank you.

    To get the ball rolling;

    Hey folks

My name's Dara, I'm 18 and I'll be starting Film And Television Production this September. Myself and a friend of mine (Marc, also 18), who'll be repeating first year English and Drama in UCD (having to commute from Laois was a deal breaker), are looking for a few people to live with. We're both very laid back, friendly and even quite tidy! Our budget is max 450 per month and we'd be quite happy to live anywhere along for the 46A (or anywhere that has a bus route to both IADT and UCD). We're also happy to live with either guys or girls.

If you have any questions or whatnot just send me a PM on this and I'll get back to you.

    Thanks!

    Hey guys!
My name is Katie. I'm 21 and going into 1st year animation in IADT! I'm an easy going, friendly person. My budget is about €400 and I'm looking for people to team up with or a room if people are looking for a housemate or to band together to rent a place.

PM me if anyone is interested or has info!
    Thanks! :)

Hey guys, just a recommendation, if you're stuck because of price, check out the 'sharing' tab at daft.ie, there's plenty of rooms going for <400 and they have that really handy college search engine!

    http://www.daft.ie/sharing/

*Most of the folks I've been talking to have just been hitting the 'letting' tab.

Hey! I'm a first year photography student, does anyone have a 7 day room available? I had a place sorted but that recently fell through. I'm getting a bit desperate at this point. Thanks! PM me if you have anything!

Hey. If your looking for accommodation for next year you should check out this place. i am going to stay at a student apartment on frederick street north. its about a 20 mins bus to ucd so its not ideal but its only like 5 mins walk to o connell street. there are two apartments with 8-10 people in each. its 550 pm single and 400 pppm in the twin rooms. the heating is included but you have to pay your own electricity. every room has its own meter so you only pay for the amount of electricity you use. this is the link on daft http://www.daft.ie/searchrental.daft?id=1373984# its says its for professionals and mature students but they have changed their mind and they only want students now smile.png ive already put a deposit down so im definitely taking a room. so if your interested you should ring joe @ 0879810183

    Hey guys!
I'm 19, from Louth and starting Psychology in IADT this year.. On my own and would rather stay with other students instead of a family house! I work in Arnotts so between the college and town on the 46a line would be ideal! About €100 a week would be perfect, so if anyone's looking to fill a room or get a place, send me a message on this or Facebook, Conor Nolan.. Cheers!

Hey guys, I'm Tara, 2nd Year animation student also stuck in the boat of needing to find accommodation for September and trying to get it over and done with earlier this year since I'm away for all of August.

If any of you guys end up having a spare room available, or want to share etc, feel free to send me a pm. I'd really rather not stay in digs again this year and finding a place I can stay over weekends is also super important for me since I'm from Kerry. -_-"

I'll probably go up for a day or two of viewing if I can line up enough places to look at and check up on.

Well I went to view a few places with other people but we got nothing that suited us so I decided to just go into digs and I got that sorted anyways, I think its a better option for 1st years even though wed all rather have our own places :/

    Hey Guys,

I am starting a MA in Screenwriting in IADT in September. I'm from Kerry so don't know Dublin that well, been using Daft.ie but can't seem to get anything good. Simply looking for a single room with wifi for less 400 euro or less somewhat close to IADT. PM if anyone knows anything.

    Thanks,

    Eoghan

Hey, I am (likely) going to attend IADT for Film Production starting this September. Unfortunately I am a foreigner which makes things harder for me. I am 20, easy going, quiet and tidy, female. I am outgoing and will love to make friends if I have the chance, but ultimately I just need a place to stay for the moment. As a foreigner I need it 7 days a week.

Now I am coming from Eastern Europe and I know that some people may be skeptical towards immigrants, so keep that in mind. I hope and believe that this won't be a problem for anybody, but I thought that it's important to mention it.

I need a single, simple room with WIFI, close to the IADT or any public transportation that makes it easy for me to reach the IADT. I thought I had something arranged, but unfortunately that fell through.

    E-mail me for more details.

    Good luck to all.

    Hey guys,

I'm Daniel, I'm 20. Going to be starting the Audio Visual Media Technology course this year. And I've got no accommodation as of yet. I'm from Monaghan and I really can't afford to be traveling up to Dublin & back everyday. So i'm looking for somewhere to live, whether it be close to Dun laoghaire or somewhere along the Dart line.

Would be great if anyone could help me out ? Thanks.

Hi, I'm an incoming first year female student looking for a room within walking distance of IADT. I'd prefer a house share with other students but I'm open to other options. It's a long trek up from Donegal so I'm looking to stay at least some weekends. Would welcome any advice, house hunting isn't going too well atm!

Hi all! Looking to study in Iadt and have applied for the model making course. Is there anyone looking for a housemate or anything? Male, easygoing don't mind smokers/non smoking houses. From Cork so would be looking to stay weekends its a bit of a journey.

    Hi all.

I'm starting the TV & Film course in September and I'm looking for somewhere to live. Seems like it's almost impossible to find somewhere in Dublin that accepts pets and when I do the place is already gone.

The dog is a Samoyed Husky (a white wolf) who's very friendly and very quiet. He's fully house trained and up to date on all of his shots etc. He just needs a flat bit of ground to sleep on and he's happy. The worst thing he does is steal dirty socks. People love him.

I'm a 30 year old male who just needs a room. It doesn't even need to be furnished, or nice. I just need four walls and a roof within walking distance or along a bus route or the dart/train.

If anybody knows of anywhere or has a room or is looking for a place and doesnt mind the dog, let me know. heck if you know somebody with a shed in their back garden that they don't use, that'll do at this stage.

    :)
