Has that video been verified or anything?

Something doesn't seem right with it.. everyone just standing there while a guy is repeatedly shot in front of them =/

They'd be in cover while yer man is exposed. The idea is to draw them out and hit them as they come to the body.

When Gaza was fully occupied, occasionally they'd impose a 24 hour curfew (no leaving the house) that could last for days. This didn't apply to settlers. This was enforced by snipers, rather than patrols, and quiet literally standing out on the step would be enough to draw fire.

Now and again they'd decide this wasn't enough fun, so they'd turn off the water and power. As a result, the locals in some areas had trenches running from house to house where possible, to be able to swap and trade supplies. There is footage (which I can't find) of young kids having sneaked out with cannisters , running a gauntlet of rifle fire to get water.

This 'most moral army' thing is a sort of obscene joke. Whats going on now is classic colonial tactics. The 'natives' have been cheeky, so its been decided to go in hard and take out the leaders, and put some fear in the rest. In the strategic sense this translates to putting pressure on the new Hamas/Fatah joint administration, as Fatah are sitting with their hands in their arse pockets while Hamas get pounded. Rockets are somewhat further down the agenda.

Yes, I suppose it is a bit cheeky to launch rockets at your neighbour. Israel should just give them a very hard stare.

What do you make of the brave IDF butchering the civilian looking for his family in the rubble...why did they do that?..war crime or not?.. What say you...

I'll wait until the video has been checked for a final verdict but if it is true then it should certainly be a court martial offence.

Do you have no grasp of modern video editing technology? Do you have no grasp of how the Middle East is as much a propaganda war as a physical war? Have you seen the film Superman and if so do you truly believe a man can fly? I'll wait until the video has been checked by experts, and yes I do have eyes and enough knowledge of modern technology to know they cannot always be trusted.

I was at a vigil for Gaza in Naas this evening and was fairly sickened to see quite so many people using the opportunity to support Gaza as an opportunity to publicise Sinn Fein instead. There were people with Sinn Fein flags and even people with posters that would say something like 'boycott Israel' and then at the bottom they'd say 'vote Sinn Fein'. I'm not having a go at Sinn Fein, just anybody who spotted an opportunity to support a really good cause as an opportunity to publicise a political party

Ya know the saying..' In politics, never let a good crisis go to waste..'

Seriously this is your retort? some of you IDF apologists display all the characteristics of a cognitive dissonance nearly beyond comprehension. it's borderline delusional.

    Pallywood, perhaps.

    Maybe.. maybe not.

I tend to be skeptical about any footage emerging from these conflicts unless they're verified journalistically since both sides are more than capable, and are known for their bull**** propaganda.

Seriously if you cannot respond intelligently to a post then you have problems. Are you saying that it is impossible for that video to have been faked or tampered with, or that the whole area is so law abiding no-one would do such a thing? As for being an IDF apologist I said that if this happened, and it may have, then it is a court martial offence.

Looking at a civilian neighbourhood levelled and in ruins would indicate to me that the IDF cowardly thugs in many instances that they are are capable of anything though your first reaction is "it must be fake". When civilians die in a shelling Akbar did it it's their fault . When a video showing a civilian death emerges it's probably fake. Is levelling a civilian neighbourhood a warcrime in your eyes?..you told me you have them so I'm assuming you can see the destruction.

Given the number of deaths involving rifle fire of children and UN workers over the years, a man being shot moving through rubble doesn't strike me as remotely implausible, particularily amongst hundreds of dead and the kind of offensive now occurring.

One 'Pallywood ' picture of an apparent dead girl in Gaza doing the rounds is actually a still from the movie Final Destination 4.

edit, it's the scene where a girl gets her head blown off...

Did you find evidence that they don't allow women into the shelters in Gaza as per your claim, or did it slip your mind?

I said I would wait until it had been checked, I made no statement on the likelihood of it's being fake. Can you not read?
My final statement is a reminder that this is a war and bad things happen in wars. The only real answer is to not have wars.
    Goodbye and goodnight.

Five-Hundred people are still dead, regardless of whether someone posted a screenshot of some crap B-Movie on their Facebook page.

I don't dispute that it's plausible. I'm just wondering if any credible news source has reported or confirmed it..

The one thing that annoys me (aside from the complete disregard for human life) is that Israel come up with these excuses such as 'the threat was in this building, it's unfortunate that civilians die' and it's seemingly accepted by those in the UN/US who standby and take it. They shelled a hospital for christs sake. How is that acceptable?

The only end game here I see is that Israel completely level Gaza and murder a massive amount of those left in Gaza. It's the equivalent of having a bear in a cramped cage and the Israelis are pummeling it to death.

So the Israelis continue to murder daily and still no outcry from the U.N. or U.S.

The IDF can target and murder the children & civilians of Gaza with impunity. And not a peep. 4 boys aged 9, 10 (2) and 11 years of age, are blown to pieces in broad daylight on a beach by an Israeli gunboat. A gunboat that possess the best in digital zoom technology, thermal imaging and surveillance equipment. Then we had 5 killed earlier today and 70 were wounded, when Israeli tanks fired 12 shells into a Hospital Intensive care unit, surgery department and administration building. The Merkava main battle tank has some of the most sophisticated target acquisition technology. Yet they still blast 12 tank shells into a hospital. It's the kind of unabated murderous rampage that a Einsatzgruppen would be proud of. Human Rights groups and likes of Amnesty International might condemn the IDF and speak of war crimes. But as long as they have the support of the biggest bully in the playground - America. The Israeli regime and their IDF war dogs, don't particularly give a fúck about what the rest of the civilised world thinks and they never have. 550 dead and 3300 + injured and as Jon Snow on Channel 4 News said - "What price in civilian blood must Israel extract, before they cease the killing of civilians?"
