hard to know what is what, all right.

Hamas have shown doucments which they alledge are the soldiers,

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BtA7hHQCYAAbqwo.jpg,

but why would they not take a pic of him. Unless moving him, and they just took his docs and will parade him at later stage

A reverse-image search shows that picture was first published online yesterday, although Hamas claim he was captured today.

EDIT: I didn't do the search correctly. It is actually a photo from August 2006. Good news.

Why? Do you want the 24 hour party people of Islamic Jihad to take over? Or 'Hamas II - This time we're really fanatical'.

You couldn't find a group of people who could care less about protests than the Israelis.

Pity that they do seem to be killing mostly civilians then.

You'd wonder how many more terrorists conflict like this will create. There is probably a whole new generation of young people growing up in Gaza who are being affected by this and who may start thinking that organisations like Hamas are appealing, that it's a way to avenge those they've lost or to release some anger. Not only are people dying, but there are probably a lot of young people there who are going to grow up with a lot of hatred.

And not just in Palestine, the protest marches show a real level of anger building towards Israel and western countries for the lack of effort to put pressure on them.

It's inevitable that this will result in many people looking at the likes of Hamas for a way to fight back.

The lads shouting Allah Akbar during the Paris riots aren't really doing the Palestinians any favours.

And now, inevitably, sections of the media are murmuring about anti-semitism.

Newsflash: If someone murders children and steals people's property, people will probably hate him with a fiery passion. If he also happens to be black, that hatred does not suddenly become racism.

Israeli soldier repeatedly shooting an unarmed civilian volunteer who was trying to recover injured people and bodies.

As far as I am concerned, killing unarmed civilians is murder and a war crime.

So the Israelis continue to murder daily and still no outcry from the U.N. or U.S.

I'm sure we'll have a mealy-mouthed resolution vetoed at some point over the next few weeks.

I was at a vigil for Gaza in Naas this evening and was fairly sickened to see quite so many people using the opportunity to support Gaza as an opportunity to publicise Sinn Fein instead. There were people with Sinn Fein flags and even people with posters that would say something like 'boycott Israel' and then at the bottom they'd say 'vote Sinn Fein'. I'm not having a go at Sinn Fein, just anybody who spotted an opportunity to support a really good cause as an opportunity to publicise a political party
