Good budget hotels in Malta?

    Hi all,

    Just wondering if anyone could recommend a decent hotel on a budget in malta, we are going for a week in September to check over everything we've booked for our wedding. Everywhere I've looked online seems to have terrible trip advisor reviews.

    Just wondering where in Malta are you looking for a hotel? Valetta, St Julians, etc?

    We're not fussed, our wedding venue is in Mellilea, but we don't mind where we stay as our suppliers are located throughout the island.

    Stayed in the Hotel Castille a few years back. It's a bit shabby and dated but was very reasonable and a nice breakfast room at the top of the building with views over the harbour. It's in the old part of the city in Valletta right by the Barrakka gardens.
