Rory just sets up another eagle chance, he's on a different planet he's on form!

Could be 7 ahead, its actually crazy. he has been consistantly the best player, can't argue with it.

Eagle to finish off, great stuff!

    No 2-tee start tomorrow.

Stunning from Rory. On a different level. Himself and Rickie in the final group tomorrow.... two of them have been around a while...:D

Fowler is creaking at the seams it appears.

Being patriotic I want McIllroy to win it. But there is a part of me that'd be delighted if Garcia nicked it. He is -10 now.

    Are you from Northern Ireland?

From Fowlers interview it seems he's quite relaxed and looking forward to playing with Rory. If Fowler gets a few good shots and Rory misses one or two momentum can swing.

I'm a fan of both players and don't mind who wins but I would love a close day tomorrow so it goes right down to the wire.

What channel doesn't have Peter Alliss on it?:) The verbal diahorrea from that man is at a premium. I was glad there was some respite in his commentary - the old sconer must have headed off for a snooze.

lol barton, Great coverage from BBC, after play interviews & quality overall. We've been hard done by Sky over the years when you see how it should be done. I mean theres Rory now chatting about all his shots, super stuff

Rory was very calm in his interview too.
They should have asked Rory what films he had been watching, when he told them that he's watched a few this week! I need some suggestions myself :P

Tomorrows tee times. Lowry at 12.25 alongside Broberg, McDowell at 13.40 with Rose, Clarke with Schwartzl at 13.50, and then McIllroy with Fowler at 14.40.

Nice one. I'm playing at 9 in the morning. So will be home in time!

Is there any chance it could be changed to two tee start and earlier tee times if weather gets very bad?

Probably not at this stage. But you can check here and see if it changes.

Forecast is that it will be dry but windy.

I think he is class. I can't remember who hit it, but a ball went way into the rough yesterday evening, behind the crowd, and young lad ran to it, pint glass in hand, ducked under a rope and stopped dead over the ball and Alliss commentated "what an athlete, didn't even spill a drop" and "how can you drink beer and have a body like that"

I think he can be quite funny and IMO, he is the voice of golf, it just wouldn't be the same without him. I only wish he was on every week.

yea, but i think a level par round tomorrow might be enough for him. he has to shoot another 68 to break the record, but i'd rather see him play steady golf and make sure not to get himself in to much trouble. 1 or 2 under be perfect for him

As a Casual golf fan and a follower of many sports. there is not much better than watching mc ilroy in full flow. A joy to watch

Rory seems to have the British Open at his mercy now after todays play,I hope he continues to show he will be the greatest golfer ever to come from Ireland or Europe,he was in this position a few years ago in the Open only to lose out to the horrible weather conditions in his final round

No he wasn't . he led after round one and fell away with an 80 in round 2

Just finished watching a recording as I was out this afternoon. McIlroy is just wondrous to behold when he is in this form. I can't see him getting caught tomorrow. A bit of a disappointing second nine for Shane Lowry, but still in line for a big cheque.

Anybody know how I could see extended highlights of today - is there a reply on tv even ?

Incredible last five holes to the round. For Mcllroy to go from level on -12 with Fowler to leading by 6 over the space of 5 holes was amazing.

Is there any way to swing the club just a little bit like him?! His balance is incredible.

true, but a major record again en-route to victory will be a bonus

he has the ability to do both
