One thing I'm sure of is you don't need 3 or 4 weeks to decide whether you need Vidal, every team needs Vidal. I mean it's not like we could sign him and not find a place for him in the team

Fair enough if the club are sounding him out to see if he actually wants to play for United and it's not just a pay bump for him, but he seems like someone who gives his all no matter where he is so it shouldn't be a problem

We'd likely miss out on him if we wait 4 weeks to decide.

I don't think we need Vidal, he won't be regular with Cleverley, Fellaini, Carrick fighting for the CM position.

"I've heard about Real and United interest. I can't say for sure if I'll stay in Juventus" - Vidal.

Real will probably sign him as Kroos's new midfield partner. Keep Modric and Alonso as back up.

real about to spend 67m on rodriguez.

Giggs can throw on his boots again for a season, we can readdress him at the end of the season.

Are Madrid mad enough to buy Vidal and put Modric or their soon to be new 60 million man Rodriguez on the bench, yes they probably are

Isnt Khediras move to Arsenal off or hit a major snag?

I think he would be a great addition.

Apparently Arsenal don't want to pay him the reported £150,000 a week wages

Man ill be quite disappointed if our transfer business is done now

Anderson missing from the US tour due to injury.
Looking at it we still need 2 CM.:o

and others will say that with the impending departures we need 3 defenders and a winger also which is astounding considering the amount of money we have spent in the past 12 months.

I imagine Anderson and Bebe will be gone soon, absence from preseason squad seems to suggest they are being given time to talk with other teams. I'd say the likes of Powell and the younger players will probably be going out on loan. I would love to see Powell finally given the chance in the premiership though.

I don't think they would have a problem with that. The issue I heard is that he wanted 130k......after tax. Which would be over 200k. That's a lot and I can understand Arsenal balking at that.

He wasnt critical though imo and the points made were fair. He was more critical about his own performances for England than Rooney's.

Im not sure how anyone can take issue with what was said besides maybe Rooney himself. http://blog.paddypower.com/2014/05/22/paul-scholes-exclusive-how-england-can-get-the-best-out-of-wayne-rooney/

The fact that Rooney could take issue with it is what's important since we're talking about Scholes' ability to coach the team that Rooney plays on. And it doesn't matter if the points Scholes made were fair (I don't agree that they were, but that's not important). What matters is whether they were the best possible things to say to get the best performances out of Rooney.

A pundit's job is to objectively criticise players and their performances. A coach's job is to get the best performances out of the players. That will often involve being completely non-objective when speaking publicly about them. So there is a clear conflict of interest there.

There's no way it's done, we're looking at a seriously struggle for 4th with the players we have now, it would be idiotic on the clubs part to not use it's resources to make it an easier task

Worst case is we sign 2 or 3 Dutch players which wouldn't be the end of the world

Just because more work is needed doesnt mean the work will get done. I think its as possible that we are done spending as much as its possible the spending will continue.

Bebe looks set to be gone. Apparently out of the pre season squad and flying to Benfica to do a medical.
Will be interesting to see how he does in the Champions League, if he plays.

Yeah, and curious to how much he would go for if he does leave. Playing in portugal might help him.

*Ander, Raf, David and Juan selfie*

    My new favourite pic.

T-Clev: Guys can I scooch in there?
Mata: Eh Tom, this one is just for the Spanish guys.
    T-Clev: But Raf isn't Spanish?
Mata: Oh eh, I mean those who speak Spanish, we'll do one with you later.
    T-Clev: Ok.

Meanwhile, Louis is up front going "Lads will ya sit down ta fúck!"

We need more signings no doubt, but the prospect of seeing these guys fully fit lining out for United together is glorious.
