I just found out Baywatch is the most watched tv show of all time. 1.1 billion people.

And I used to hum all the time, then forgot where it cam from, not even sure where it came from until recently again. I actually thought it was scottish and a mixture of other things for years.
Pretty iconic. Gets the hair on my neck rising.

Seeing cartoons on tv. They are piss poor compared to when I was younger.

Animaniacs, James Bond Jr etc etc.

They're not cartoons, Hong Kong Phoey, Hair Bear Bunch, Top Cat, Wacky Races etc were proper cartoons!

Having to explain to my kids that when daddy was young we couldn't just pause, rewind or record the TV and in fact if you wanted to change the channel you had to get up to go press a button on the TV.

The reply : was that in the olden days daddy?

Smtv: live used to run every saturday morning all year.

The least patronising TV show for kids ever made, non PC, my older teenager cousins and parents used to watch this on saturday morning, and it felt like an adult's tv show that was somehow made for kids, because they could make more money that way. They would rip the piss of kids's retarded answers and flat out antagonize then and say what we were all thinking

Parodys of Pokemon and Friends too

Brother and myself had our friends over for the first episode of South Park, I was about 7 at the time, really doesn't seem like that long ago, but it's over 16 years ago

As demonstrated on Gay Byrne personally on the Late Late Show back in the day when he hosted it. Oh and there were two versions of such to yo yo.

What makes me feel old is the music I don't get. Cheap and sh1te. The gay promotion, political correctness, all this bull****
**** over "what dress celebrity1 had on a wedding of celebrity2".
Who sane gives a fcuk?? The world's gone mad.
Boys looking like pretty teenage whores ready to fcuk. New fashion you say. Maybe.
Back then things were simple. More black and white. Today even a cockroach should have a right to vote, his own sexuality, etc..
I'm too tired of all this and I'm really glad I will not live forever, because I couldn't stand the sh1t it all is heading towards.

    Thank you,
    Pawn.

Playing football with lads who were in 1st year and I was in 6th year and now they're 18 and I play football with them. One of the main ones.

Listening to any modern music makes me irk. At least even 2 years ago I could pick out a song I liked. To be fair music is either mind thumping repetitive or about getting drunk and the dance floor or something and then the otherside is depressing soppy music like Kodaline or passenger. Where's a kings of leon, strokes, kooks kinda band.

When I see teens hanging out in the same places I did at times of the year like summer. Memories flood back and I always realise looking at the group of teens hanging out how long and fuzzy the memories from those times seem.

Most of all though I'm just glad I grew up in a time when technology was on the rise but wasn't dominating every day life. I ran and play out in the sun and wasn't concerned about the apps on my phone. I think the days a kid can have an enriching carefree childhood are long gone. I don't think I've seen a game of tip the can or chasing in my estate in at least 6 or 7 years.

The pain of trying to record individual tracks on to cassette from atlantic252 etc.
The fact that i was the remote control in the house.

That i make an 'ooof' or 'argh' sound every time i stand up or sit down..

Chucked out boxes of VHS and cassette tapes before my first was born a couple of years ago. The idea of taping anything or missing a tv show because you couldn't tape it will be something they won't understand.
Seeing kids I used to babysit driving cars or in garda uniforms makes me feel.really old.

The girl I used to babysit came onto me on night in the local... that made me feel really old even though there was only about 6 years in the difference.

I felt old yesterday, washing floors, doing 4 loads of washing, cooking dinner, changing bedsheets. My back was killing me and I felt so 'housewife'. I kind of reminded myself of my mother!!

    I'm 22 and have the back of a 60 year old :(

On the other end of the scale, I was accosted by a neighbourly pensioner last night, spent half an hour chatting with him and he mentioned at one point that he's 94 years old. The realisation hit me later that he must have retired when I was seven, so for pretty much all the current affairs I've been aware of, he's been a retired pensioner. Certainly made me feel small.

Had a row with my twin last week about what age we were. It turns out he's right and we're 32 after all :(

When Nelson Mandela died, I overheard some young folk discussing was he the man off the Uncle Ben's box, or Barack Obama's da.
