Restaurants where one can bring their own bottle of wine (or other drink) and probably pay a corkage fee. If any of you know of any such restaurants would you please post the details here?

    Thanks.

    Mentioned here so far :

    Cafe Gusto €5 per bottle
    Castelli's
    Currans
    Strasbourg Goose €4 per bottle
    No. 5 Fenn's Quay €8 per bottle
The Four Liars €6 per bottle of wine
Banna Thai in Ballincollig No Charge
The Great Wall in Ballincollig €4 per bottle(?)
    Raj Indian Restaurant in Fermoy

Only ones I can think of at the moment that I've been to, are Castelli's on Prince's St and Gusto on Washington St.

Currans of Adelaide street and cafe gusto

+1 to Cafe Gusto. They let you bring your own wine. It's more of a tapas kind of place though in the evening as opposed to a 3 course meal restaurant. It's tricky though, you can't book, so if you time it poorly you could end up wandering town with a bottle of wine for the night :)

Do you know what the corkage is for these respective places?

€5 for Gusto, don't know about anywhere else, but can't imagine it would be much more than that.

    No. 5 Fenn's Quay €8 per bottle

Mods - I can no longer edit the original post to include this. If you could do so it would be appreciated.

Have you any idea how much the charge is and if it is only for wine, beer, etc?

The Great Wall in Ballincollig also offer BYOB. Think the charge is around €4, not too sure though.

Think it may be €4 but not 100%, tried to call them there to verify but they are closed at the mo.

Nooooo. Too many stickied threads in forum already. 2 job ones for example... Pointless. And this is very much a niche thread. Byob restaurants... Didn't even realize they still existed.

It could be linked in the OP of the Restaurant Recommendation Thread if Faith doesn't mind?

I've no issues with it, but people probably won't go to the effort of following the link ;).

Ask a current moderator to sort it out so that there's a link in the first post of the Recommendation thread, perhaps.

Ah it was just a thought to make it easier to find rather than going through all the pages to get to it..
