Any idea when they're announcing the European leg of the tour?

Rough guess either later this year, or early 2015

The band have announced more dates to the farewell tour(US); Apart from being in Europe for their 3 Festival shows round start of June (Sweden Rock/Nova Rock/Download) and a gap in Tour (Month of November) they aren't exactly leaving much leeway for an extensive Euro Tour.

Oct. 05 - Hidalgo, TX - State Farm Arena
Oct. 07 - Dallas, TX - American Airlines Center
Oct. 08 - Little Rock, AR - Verizon Arena
Oct. 10 - Evansville, IN - The Ford Center
Oct. 11 - Lexington, KY - Rupp Arena
Oct. 13 - Grand Rapids, MI - Van Andel Arena
Oct. 14 - Buffalo, NY - First Niagra Center
Oct. 16 - Bridgeport, CT - Webster Bank Arena
Oct. 17 - Manchester, NH - Verizon Wireless Arena
Oct. 18 - Bangor, ME - Cross Insurance Center
Dec. 04 - Lincoln, NE - Pinnacle Bank Arena
Dec. 07 - Sioux Falls, SD - Denny Sanford Premier Center
Dec. 08 - Grand Forks, ND - Alerus Center
Dec. 10 - Saskatoon, SA - SaskTel Centre
Dec. 12 - Edmonton, AB - Rexall Place
Dec. 13 - Calgary, AB - ScotiaBank Saddledome
Dec. 15 - Portland, OR - Moda Center
    Dec. 19 - Phoenix, AZ - U.S. Airways Center
Dec. 20 - San Diego, CA - Viejas Arena
Dec. 22 - Anaheim, CA - Honda Center
Dec. 27 - Las Vegas, NV - MGM Arena

I'd kill to see them in Dublin. Or anywhere for that matter.

I'm really sceptical as to whether they're going ahead with European dates now to be honest, maybe their demands (added to taxes, travel, flights, hotel etc) make this unreasonable and only acceptable for a US tour

Seen them at Donington in 1991.

They were impressive and it was a great feeling knowing 90 mins of Metallica and 2hrs of AC/DC was to follow.

What a day that was, Black Crowes and Queensryche were very meh for me, then the Crue came on, how fcukin loud were they, always remember at the end, band taking a bow, someone lobs an apple at the stage, Tommy catches it, takes a bite without even thinking and lobs it back.
And then Metallica...and then DC, damn, them really were the days

    Agreed.

By comparison to their US audience, they have a more one-hit/niche audience here.

I saw them at Sonisphere in 2010 and that was enough for me. I went home after that satisfied that I'd seen them do a perfect set. Although, in fairness, the most recent song they played across 45 minutes was from 1989....but I still didn't care. Was certainly one of the musical highlights of my life.

I'd feel the same, even if I had to travel to see them.
But this feels like we're being cheated.

Seems like a great idea but allowing multiple votes seems like a cop-out.

Saw them in Donington '84, Hammersmith Odeon '85 & Manchester '12.
Dublin 2015 would be nice but I'll go to Manchester again if they do a gig there.

Yeah I'd say that's all the Dublin votes will amount to.

Voted for Dublin and Belfast. Either would be great.

I voted for Newcastle, for obvious reasons, though I hope Dublin works out too. I think someone told me that the last time they were supposed to play Newcastle was when Nikki Sixx called Kerrang and said there was "too much snow on the roof of the arenas" and gave this as a reason for the cancellation

If there were to play Dublin would it be the 3 arena or the olympia.

I think they would sell out the Olympia but a 3 arena show would sell well

Let's not split the votes between Dublin and Belfast, let's vote Dublin all the way.

Would have to be 3Arena with the rig they use , Could see a similar size as Kiss from a few years

I voted Dublin ... but to be honest I'm not sure I'd even bother going to see them if they did play. Haven't listened to anything by them since Theatre Of Pain

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,382 ✭✭✭Motley Crue

It was basically Nikki's way of saying that they were all doing too much cocaine to tour, it was told (I believe) to Mick Wall who wrote it in Kerrang as he couldn't directly accuse them of using drugs

^^^ that sounds about right. lol
