My husband has a lower sex drive than me.We had sex last wkend but now while I want it again this wkend he has turned on the tv and is glued to the football, sex is the furthest thing from his mind.i have spoken to him about this so many times before, how sex is so important to me in our relationship, how I feel much closer to him if we have had sex etc but even though he seems really understanding at the time and says he'll try harder, it never makes any difference. If I don't make the move we might not have sex for 4-6 wks.I'm finding it very hard to cope with this.I feel like I have spoken about it so often that Im actually embarrassed to bring it up again. Also if I try to spice things up by mentioning new things we could try he just clams up and gets embarrassed or else he laughs, which really gets to me.I don't know what to do, this is really getting me down.Any advice welcome.x

I would suggest relationship counselling and a sexy day.

so basically you spend the whole day doing something to make the other person happy or feel sexy. A picture, a meal, cuddles. It doesn't have to lead to sex but just to restore some intimacy which hopefully will lead to your husband to wanting more sex.

hallo dare - instigating PM exchanges with the OP like that is not allowed here, nor are sarcastic responses to the OP 's issue, as per the forum charter. Don't post in this thread again.

Has it always been like this or has this happened suddenly? Used you have a normal sex life and frequency has ground to a halt or was it always like this? How is his mental and physical health? Could substance abuse be an issue? What about depression?
