OP here...So I haven't been to the flicks in five years.

Do I really need to hide my sweets in my bag?
Am I going to be asked to leave if I'm seen carrying a bag of goodies in?
I'm going to an IMC cinema.

Management have the right to refuse anyone. So yeah its a possibility!

I used to bring burger king in with me. Extra large bacon double cheese burger meal, plus an extra burger. The feckers around me would me groaning and salivating haha. Lovely and cheaper than a popcorn and small drink at the cinema too ;)

if you're looking to conduct an "experiment", make sure it's diet coke.

As long as it involves loud slurping, and crinkling wrapper noises you're onto a winner.

You should try to suck with every remaining molecule of liquid out of your extra large drink, so it sounds like they've installed gutter pipes in the theatre system.

I love it when people do that.

Euro shops are a godsent :D

I normally get a bottle of coke, pringles, chocolate and jellies all for less than a fiver :) (particularly like the haribo jelly babies!) I'd like to point out that I don't actually finish it all in one sitting though :P But just great to have the variety :)

I've never had trouble bringing my own food in, but I just keep it in my handbag or separate shopping bag. So unless they ever introduce bag searches...

Theres a euro shop right next to cineworld, glorious it is :D I've never been searched for stuff in my bag in all my years going the flicks, and I always take a large bag with me.

Am I the only person that doesn't bring in food?

I just get a few beers at the cinema bar and bring them in. I find it much more enjoyable to slouch back, put the feet up and enjoy a nice beer than fumbling around with loud messy snacks.

Cinema food prices are genuinely extortionate though. If they dropped prices, more people would buy. A packet of chocolates for €4.50 at UCI is just mad when u get them for 2 quid in spar

I put all my food into a lunch box before the movie starts. Less fiddling round, less death stares off people, less rubbish to awkwardly put under the seats.

I'm probably in the minority here but because I go to the cinema so infrequently when I am there I tend to buy whatever food I feel like regardless of price. I usually end up getting something small like a scoop of ben & jerrys (Nom:pac:) cause I get distracted if I'm munching on food throughout the flick.

The last time I went to the cinema I brought a can of Smak Pineapple, a Macaroon and a Highland Toffee.

Which James Cagney movie did you watch?

It was the Santa movie with Dudley Moore in it, must be thirty years ago now.
