It's grand. Head up around the twelfth of July in your Celtic jersey to get the full flavour.

Lovely red blue and white flegs everywhere at the moment

Kind of eerie and dull compared to the counties around it. The place seems to have a permanent depressing feel to it, I could never warm to it.

It's also British so all the bad things that go along with that - Tetley's tea, crap beer, people who are dull as funk, "high streets"

Except Ballintoy. I liked that place

Quite scenic in places, especially coastal areas and inland counties like Fermanagh.

I wouldnt say it's nothing like Moscow. Russia has people who really hate other groups for no reason too.

you are all being so cruel (and ignorant)

yes this time of year its full of "flegs" so i guess can be off putting but aside from that, it's not what you all think and not that different to across the border. Except the Tayto and Dairy Milks aren't as good up here.

    ****e beer- Tennants and Harp.
    Every town looks the same.
    Everyone has terrible tattoos.
    Terrible accents.
Everyone has a massive chip on their shoulder.

Definitely worth a visit, some nice towns and villages. As you'd expect, it's like a cross between England and Ireland. North Antrim coast drive is deadly.
Larne is one of the most beautiful towns on the island *

More dull than Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan?

    * it's not, it's a dump

Since you'd still be in Ireland, it would be no different than going to Cork or Limerick. Different accents, still Irish though.

Its clean, good roads, well signposted. Nice scenery on coast roads. Beaches are not covered in empty beer bottles and dirty nappies.
Everything is cheaper and shop assistants are friendly, they will converse with you rather than grunt or check their phone.
Just stay away from Portadown this time of year.

I don't know why people hate Leitrim so much, must be from watching the Den when they were younger.

Cavan isn't half bad from what people tell me, but if the rest of Monaghan is as depressing as Monaghan town bus station then it's a serious contender for being as dull as any Norn Irish county

I really don't like it. It feels like the room you pass though where someone died. But somehow you're to blame. And all nordies are the dead person's family. And all you're doing is buying a sandwich at a petrol station. But they don't want your money. Even though it's their money. Or England's, whatever. It's a bit like a bad dream. The wind always sounds like banshees. The cars are all really loud.

I don't want to go there anymore.

Any time we work up there, it's like that moment when the lad walks into the Saloon and the music stops and everyone turns to look...we now draw straws...

    A vexillologist's wet dream!

They are actually called vexiflegelests in the North.

Strangely, I had never been in the North until a couple of months ago. Even then it was completely against my wishes. My flight from Heathrow was cancelled and I was offered one to Belfast.

    I reluctantly accepted.
