Anybody from boards making the trip to portrush for the north of Ireland ?

I've never been and decided to go this year , always saying it's too long of a week and never bothered . Threw an entry in and totally forgot about it until a mate texted me today asking me where I'm stating .

My reply nowhere. I totally forgot this was on in two weeks. So people of boards any suggestions of somewhere to stay in portrush . I havn't played either course so have no knowledge of the town and where is close to both courses . Had a quick google and it's going to be an expensive week. Anybody any tips ?

Chris, try the University of Ulster in Coleraine. They rent out student accommodation over the summer for less than a B&B. it's only 5-10 minutes from Royal Portrush.

2.9 , 300 competing for 64 spots in the match play. Still weighing up the options of to weather it's worth taking a week off for . Practise sat and Sunday , qualifying Monday Tuesday . And then a few days of match play if all goes to plan. Could work out being very expensive and to be honest I just don't think my game is sharp enough at the moment . I'd love to play but sensibility comes to mind when your looking at it easily hitting the 500euro mark without going too mad . Not a smart move when your not overly confident in making the cut .

Thanks for the info Finlay . I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what's available accommodation seems to be hard to get in portrush .
