TG4 are repeating their 'Guth' series from July 24th. I saw a few of them, the John Lydon show was very good
A new and revealing six-part documentary series that tells the story of modern pop music and how the sons and daughters of Irish emigrants have changed the face of popular music.

What impact, if any, did their Irish blood have on singers like Bing Crosby, John Lydon, Morrissey and Marr, Dusty Springfield, John Lennon, or the Gallagher Brothers? And what impact did their music have on Ireland?

    Good Lord.

Of all the things to repeat! Sedaka night! Again!

You know, maybe I will watch it again. There has to be a reason for the repeats. Maybe the anger and despair (and anger) I felt last time I watched it will turn to joy and happiness?

    Okay, come on...everybody...

Don't take your loooooooove away from me...

(That picture, WMM, nearly knocked me off my seat when I scrolled down. Sad face.)

    Just in the door.

Poor auld Bobby Womack. Only just gone.

On a programme called Ebony. I bet they didn't have a programme called Ivory for the white people, eh? eh?

although if ebony and ivory had made a programme together, that would have been good.

7pm BBC4 The First Steps Recalling a decade in British music, with archive performances from the early stages of the `swingin' era, featuring music by by rock, pop and R'n'B artists including the Springfields, the Shadows, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones

I would be very slow to criticise Alexander O'Neal. He's looks like he could take care of himself.

I think I've said this before, but my taped off the radio version of I wanna Dance with somebody was followed by The Anfield Rap. I always expect John Barnes to come in with a Rap at the end.

You are braver than I am, Donie.

I don't mind a small bit of Sedaka, but two back to back documentaries is too much. It's like having to eat nothing but candyfloss for a week.

Hang on, does this mean I owe Whitney's Estate money? And John Barnes?

If you are reading this IMRO, it was a joke.:)
