How do the bookies keep tabs on the games in play? I know there's a time delay etc, do they follow local radio feeds, they hardly have somebody at all games, I mean Bangladesh division 3 and the like!

    Runningball scouts:

    SCOUTS (M/W)
RunningBall Data Scouts attend sport events and collect data and statistics live from the place of action using the MDA (Mobile Digital Assistant).
If you want to apply for being a Scout and a member of our team, go to the RunningBall Academy Website (http://academy.rball.com/) and fill in the contact form.
The RunningBall Academy Website is designed to help the Scouts with almost everything in relation to their job. It is crucial for keeping and improving the high standard of reporting RunningBall is known for.
The portal of the RunningBall Academy is dedicated to everybody who is applying for becoming a Scout as well as for all Scouts who are already working for RunningBall – the World’s leading institution for real-time sports information.

Lads, had a bet on Paddys tonihgt, "Goal Getters" Lukaku and Kokorin both to score 1st, 50/1.
Since Lukaku was a non runner (didn't play) I went onto live chat to see would they be voiding it or paying out on just Kokorin and was told its a loser on chat.
Then she told me neither player scored??!!

I was pretty pissed off to be honest how the lady on chat spoke/dealed with me. I 've taken screenshots etc, she said she would pass on my case.

Am I in the wrong? It was the Live chat conversation that pissed me off most, it was only 1.50 on a 50/1 shot.

Kokorin scored 1st didn't he? So you'll get the bet as a single, unless it stated that the bet is void unless both players start.

The least you are entitled to is your money back.

Thats what I was thinking, its only 1.50 , I wasn't that bothered, it was more the attitude on live chat, and the fact she said neither scored, while insisting its a loser.

She said she'd pass on my case to supervisor eventually. Now I remember why I use Betfair mostly. Will see whats said tomorrow, If they even get back to me.

If the money is not in your account tomorrow, I'd go onto livechat and simply say that you placed a bet on both players 1st scorer. Lukaku didn't play at all so that bit should be void. Kokorin scored the 1st goal in the Russia game (Here is the proof - http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/round=255931/match=300186506/index.html#nosticky ) but yet you have incorrectly settled it as a loser.

Then she will probably say it has already been passed on and is being dealt with. Then you just have to wait. If it's not there within 1 or 2 days then do the same again.

Don't let it go because they are wrong. I know it's not massive money but it's the principle.

I have a bet on Neymar/Brazil. Do i win if Brazil win and Messi, Neymar or lets say Muller share top scorer.

On Paddy power Dead Heat rules apply to top scorer. Not sure about others.

    What is a dead heat?
A dead heat in betting is when two or more participants tie for a position in an event - the obvious example is two horses crossing the line at exactly the same time and they cannot be separated by a photo finish. Dead heats are rare enough in most sports the exception being golf but can cause a few questions especially when you have a bet on one of those involved.
    Example:
You back Paddy's Boy in the last at Kempton - it is heading for certain victory when out of nowhere comes Lucky Charm with a late run - they cross the line together and cannot be separated even after a photo finish. A dead heat is declared.
You have staked £10 on Paddy's Boy at 10/1 so what happens now?
The best way to think of it is that as two horses won the race and you only picked one, the stake has to be halved. You will get paid half your stake at the full odds so for the above bet your returns will be £55 (5 x 10 + 5 stake).
For three runners tied your stake is divided by three and so on.

Not sure how this will affect the double bet.

A fella I know did it at Dundalk games for a while. He was basically on a phone saying 'Dundalk attack down the right...cross...corner to Dundalk' etc. basically you're giving a running commentary

Just an update, been on Livechat again yesterday & this morning, basically fobbing me off again saying it will get passed to tech team & if theres an error they will correct it/amend it.

Just a heads up incase anyone sees a similar "Special bet"/Double goalscorer bet on PP - don't take it!

EDIT- Dm'd the ask Paddy page on twitter, they just got back to me & sorted it, paid 6/1 on Kokorin, fairplay to twitter team, can't say the same about livechat though!

Its 50 a game, can claim ticket expense too if I remember right.
Its performance based, so if you make errors ( example say its a corner when its actually a goalkick etc) it can come out of the money you earn.

You don't actually talk on fone either, you hit a key on number pad (ex - 1= home team possession , 11= Home team attack, etc)

You'd think its handy money but its not!

Oh I get it. Sounds interesting. I read on the website they can pay for tickets and travel. I live within walking distance to bohs ground. Be handy if I got it there :pac: EDIT: Applied for the job there.

The scout pay must vary hugely from country to country?, probably cost them f all in the poorer countries relative to western games

BTTS and +2.5 coming in for Wilmingtonn Hammerheads all the time last few weeks. They kick off in a half hour at 12.30 .. no BTTS in pre game market but +2.5 is @1.7

    http://ie.soccerway.com/matches/2014/06/29/united-states/mls-reserve-league/wilmington-hammerheads/richmond-kickers/1654635/head2head/

I'll probably wait in play for BTTS somewhere near 1.9 area
