Caseys on the square does soup and a toastie for 5 euro, we've had it a few times and its always been nice. Its plain but good quality.

You should try Marie's Cafe in the old Dunnes Shopoing Centre, Mountmellick Road. Gorgeous food, treat yourself to a dessert too!!!
