Hear that engine purr...Oh wait... ;)

Apart from the story itself, quite a risky way to jack up such a heavy thing like Land Cruiser (see 4:00-4:30).

    And the whole story here:

http://www.rg.ru/2014/06/25/reg-dfo/kot-anons.html (use google translate if you don't speak Russian). :D

I'll agree with the above :P

One thing I've made a note of here in tramore, there is an unholy amount of saabs floating around, all 9-3's though, there's myself and about 4 others I've seen with 9-5's and I'm the only estate

Parked in their favourite spot - cleaning up I'd say as its a struggle to crawl at 30k around here.

    312450.jpg

It's 50km/h from the pedestrian crossing you just passed. So, not 30 there. Perhaps they're looking to catch those who go a little bit faster than 50 there.

The gardai were having a field day at college green today. Lots of cars trying to go through at rush hour. They'd setup a lane with cones and were directing them through. They looked to be writing up everyone. :D I don't know what kind of penalty that would incur. Any idea?

    Ford Focus gets STD

There was good news for diesel fans today as Ford announced the new generation of Focus ST including, for the first time, an STD version.

‘We’ve wanted an STD for a long time,’ said a Ford spokesman. ‘Now at last we are able to scratch that itch.’

‘The 185PS diesel engine is what led to the STD,’ the spokesman continued. ‘We’re very proud of the subtlety with which it dispenses its performance. It really is a build up of discharge.’

Ford acknowledges that many driving enthusiasts will still prefer the petrol version, but the company believes that attitudes are slowly changing. ‘In this day and age, people shouldn’t be embarrassed to say they have an STD,’ their representative insisted. ‘Although if they try to keep it a secret, their partner will soon notice.’

According to Ford, there is another benefit to getting an STD. ‘Demand for performance diesels on the second hand market is rising,’ their spokesman claimed. ‘That means the STD should be easy to pass on to someone else. Why are you giggling?’

Bus lane fine surely? - wasn't sure if it was 30 or 50 there so as everyone else mashed their brakes I followed suit.

I'd a personality test in work recently and apparently I'm quite analytical (yet own an alfa)

My car is going in to the mechanic for a big service next week, and I'm already compiling a list

    It includes:

    1. replace spark plugs (please find replacement plugs in dash)
    2. Check accelerator tension, it appears loose
    3. Replace master cylinder on clutch pedal (part in passenger footwell)

All in all, there are about 12 things listed to be done/checked.

Seems I can't get away from that personality profile!

It doesn't make much sense to go into the bus lane there either. Much easier to just continue in your existing lane.

bus lane fine @ college green I was guessing - could also be failure to obey a sign which is 2 points I believe.

EDIT: is that a recent picture lots of the street stuff is from 2009 - is that 100% 50k?

He's doing that, rang up in work and everything already.

They seemed quite puzzled by the whole scenario themselves, even after seeing the photo.

Was it parked in a clear way that was operational from 3pm? I've occasionally put coins into a meter on a clear way only to realise I couldn't park anyway.
