look in 5 years time 25m won't seem like a lot the way it goes. 16m doesn't seem like a lot for Henderson now either

    £25m is a bit outrageous.

Good player though and will fit in well.
I like to think of it as 29 million for lallana and lambert. Much easier to take that way:)

Amazing what they copy and paste from twitter

It's the more reliable Journo's that are tweeting about it, Tony Barrett and Paul Tompkins are now on board with it as well.

I would say that it's solid info.

The £25m could be total after add ons so if we get CL again next season or win the league etc.

I wouldn't be getting my knickers in a twist yet.

First part of Lallana's medical is biting Zaf's finger for a pressure test.

Sammy Lee has been appointed Sami's assistant at Brighton.

Good to see him back in a job.

If we strengthen sufficiently this summer, then I don't mind how much we spend on Lallana.

Problem only arises if we overspend only to not have the money to invest in an area we need later on in the window.

I like Lallana as a player and I can see him fitting seamlessly into our team.........

But I had my heart set on Shaqiri or Sanchez.. If we are to lose Luis to Barca then Sanchez must be part of the deal.

Southhampton may not have a team but they have 57M to play with if they sell Lallana and Shaw.

That could build a very decent team.

As it stands, for the opening day against Southampton:

    Mignolet
    Flanagan-Skrtl-Sakho-Enrique
    Gerrard
    Hendo--Lallana
    Sterling
    Sturridge-Lambert

    Subs from:
    Reina
    Jones
    Johnson
    Agger
    Toure
    Kelly
    Wisdom
    Ilori
    Can
    Allen
    Lucas
    Coutinho
    Ibe
    Suso
    Borini
    Aspas

    Naughty step:
    Suarez

We're not in a bad shape at all, tbh. Full-back and attacking width are two areas that need addressing.

We certainly seem to have plenty of money
    25m on Lallana &
Ben Smith ‏@BenSmithBBC 6m Liverpool still very keen to sign Chile and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez. Other clubs interested too #LFC

Shaqiri's hatrick must have raised the fee by quite a bit.

Would love to sign Sanchez before he batters Brazil :)

Wow, Ben is putting some smiles on faces!

So Southampton were true to their word - no more departures after Lambert until the new boss was in place.
But now the English players are back ther doors are wiiiide open.

Agree on thinking about Lambert and Lallana being under £30M combined, that's a better way of looking at it.
So how much to Bournemouth get?

I wouldn't be surprised if Rafa was interested, would be his kind of player...

Still no leaning photo yet lads, once I see him leaning against something in a Liverpool Jersey I'll sleep soundly....

I wonder is there any chance Lovern is hitching a lift with Lallana up to Liverpool.

    Lallana 25m
    Shaw 30m
    Lambert 4m

Lovren looking close to the exit as well. They have some funds available and I could see Koeman raiding the Eredivise this summer

Really want to see us sign some quality defenders now.

Have you been kept awake by the Lallana transfer?

Plus Lovern and Lambert money that maybe another £22m then add £76m prize money from finishing 9th in the premier league they could have nearly £100m to spend.

The Dutch league is about to get a huge windfall I think,

No way? After so many posts?

I saw he got a 1 month ban there for a second yellow during the World cup.

£25m is a heavy investment for somebody who could bite somebody in his first game and be banned for four months.

Funds are fcuck all good when you've lost 4 of your best players.

Not as easy to replace them as people think.

    Why did he do that?

Added a lot to the forum.

I'd imagine he can reactivate it if he wants.

Old age caught up with him perhaps.
