Even with the blinkers off, I tend to agree with you. Why is biting someone more morally outrageous than spitting at, head butting or elbowing someone. They're all an act of aggression in my opinion

Just started thinking about this and I have to agree, a headbutt is far more dangerous than biting someone, I just think headbutting is a bit more "socially acceptable", if you know what I mean.

I didn't mean to cause any offence. It wasn't meant as a joke towards special needs kids. People really do need to lighten up though.

again why try and deflect what Suarez did yet again in the present with what occurred in the last world cup

Why should anyone (outside of Italy) be angered by what he did? I really don't get it

    Nothing to do with deflecting.

He did nothing wrong in the last world cup. Handled the ball and got sent off. Jesus wept.

You are morally outraged over it obviously

He was replying to a post about the last World Cup. Have a read before you post.

His name is Suarez, he wears the famous Red
I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough
When he scores a volley or when he scores a head
I just cant get enough, I just can't get enough
He scores a goal and the Kop go wild
And I just can't seem to get enough Suarez
    Do-do-do-do-do-do-do

I didn't take offense to you. Just said it wasn't a good thing to say. May have come off strong. I took offense to the other poster saying I was offended on behalf of others.

Definitely - it's seen as more unmanly and/or childish, even though that weird rutting stag headbut thing is just as ridiculous.

You should get over yourself. It was only a throwaway comment on an Internet forum about football.

Said it after their two previous games, but I'd love if we signed Greece CB Manolas. T'rrific CB.

I thought he looked special in the Champions League against Utd.

    Semantics.

Even if it was meant as a joke that is still the most messesd up thing I've seen in a long time.

If this is true, then either you live a fairly secluded life with a censored internet, or chances are that you have absolutely turned a blind eye, or failed to register, comments regarding a wide range of things that you could have felt insulted by in that 'long time', be it cancer, gingers, obesity, racism, sexism, dole earners, or God knows what else.

This makes even more sense by your comment stating that you yourself can relate to disability. By human nature, its then a more sensitive issue for you.

I'm not justifying people being dicks and going up and making fun out of special needs people, but niallo did nothing of the sort. He didn't target somebody out, and there was clearly no malice in his post. That much was bloody obvious, and that's were the context comes in.

Anyway, probably a conversation for a different place, but it struck a nerve as the above it a bit of a pet peeve of my own.

Ugh was on a flight, landed and saw 1-0 Uruguay. Happy enough...

**** sake Luis. Not sure its a bite in the traditional sense of the words but he certainly seems to at least bang his teeth into Chellini's shoulder intentionally.

I'd imagine a ban that covers at least the rest of the World Cup.

It worsens his reputation as well making it harder for him to win any sympathy from Officials.

Let's see if any offers come in for him now.

Yup, first caught my eye in that game. Only 23 years old, plays RCB and we have a good relationship with Olympiakos by all accounts. Standout player for his team in the 3-4 games I've seen him in.

Handling a ball in the 1/4 final of a world cup to help your team is bloody brilliant, not something to be scorned.

If Liverpool were in the same position I'd be sickened if a player didn't do it. Always makes me laugh when this topic is brought up as something to knock Suarez with.

Kanchelkis did it in a league cup final for Utd. Keane did it for Spurs iirc.

Oh I didn't want to start that debate again. My point was he'l be the villain now in 2 successive WC's, a rather impressive achievement I must say!

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

Seriously, a two year ban? From FIFA? Will never ever happen.
Well if it was FIFA12 it would be ok maybe but FIFA14 would be a big blow..

I always remenber him killing RVP for pace in the home game in the CL. An excellent CB prospect.

Its just such a bizarre defect our man has. Offers zero competitive advantage and only exposes him to a large ban when just 1 of the 20 camera on the match catch him in the act.

Also it seems to be terribly exploitable by even the most inept manager in the EPL next season (assuming he is still here?) Once the pressure is on I can already imagine the mind games played in the build up to the big games next season. Mourinho will just eat (groan) this up next season... in fact, I can see him sending out his back line with hotdogs strapped to their body just to get a rise out of the man!

    Bizarre business!!
