He is just a vampire that is very good at football.

We just all had it the wrong way around.

Don't see what all the fuss is about - in Uruguay chiellini is a type of pasta.

So they could end up paying him to do nothing for up to two years? Doesn't sound ideal.

Your imagination is running wild. He won't be banned domestically for 2 years and Liverpool won't be releasing him for free!

One thing I will say. Playing Juventus in the champions league was a bad scenario before.. now it'd be the worst possible as far as I'm concerned.

Liverpool are not going to release a world class player for nothing.

No they won't and if they did and he resurrected his career there is precedent in getting money....Adrian Mutu

He might not get away with an international ban though. He could be banned from football for up to two years according to some people. If that is true I'd imagine there could be some sort of full ban coming his way.

Who are these 'some people'? As far as I know the only thing that carries a worldwide ban are things like betting scandals and drugs.

    When did we draw Juventus?

OK there is defending a player and everything. That is one ****ed up thing to say. Even if it was meant as a joke that is still the most messesd up thing I've seen in a long time.

Some people really need to learn context.

In my experience, people 'offended' by this aren't even offended themselves personally. They're offended on the behalf of someone else, or at least they feel like the should be. Its ridiculous.

Obvious joke is obvious. I know I laughed.

Funny thing is, if Niallo had simply said, "Suarez could drive a bus load of kids off a cliff", you wouldn't bat an eyelid.

    What's fucked up there?

Two year ban my bollox. Dunga broke someone's jaw in a World Cup and only got 5 games.

De Jong's drop kick was way worse than this ffs, did he even get a suspension?

Even if he was given a domestic ban I could see Liverpool taking legal action, couldn't imagine the Yanks just rolling over and paying Suarez's wages while he's banned without putting up a fight.

I fail to see how today's incident has anything to do with Liverpool.

I don't think he'll be banned for two years. I do think there's a possibility he will sit next season out though. In that scenario Liverpool get nothing for him and he costs them a fortune in wages.

He's not going to be banned from playing for Liverpool. Just Uruguay.

Its all ifs, buts and maybes right now. FIFA will have to do their thing and Liverpools owners will have their views clear in their minds in a day or two I'm sure (whether we ever hear what they are is another matter) and Rodgers will have his views.

I meant it would be a terrible scenario if we were to draw them

Gary Linekar had his glasses on and some rules in front of him. He said there was a possibility of a two year ban.

I heard they were going to take his passport away and make him live in a cage, because hysteria.

A 6 match international ban could be the guts of two years

Do FIFA have that amount of power to ban him from playing for Liverpool. It'll just be a ban from playing international soccer surely

He could drive a bus full of special needs kids off a cliff and I would still love the guy.

He isn't far off that level at the minute! I mean how does he manage it? 2 World Cups in a row the most hated and controversial figure in them!

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

You think Uruguay only play 3 international games a year?

An international ban and business as usual at club level would be ideal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,404 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

F*ck Linekar had his glasses on.

*puts on granny's glasses and reads FIFA rule book

There's also a possibility that 31 teams will be found guilty of match fixing at the World Cup and England Cameroon become world champions by default.
