    Out of interest, how are we doing on the homegrown front? We have lost Giggs and Rio so far, with more possibly on the way. Are we going to have to buy a HG player?

    Amo, Rafael, Evans, Smalling, Jones, Cleverley, Fletcher, Carrick, Welbeck, Rooney

    8 players needed, 4 trained by United - on the above we are ok. Not sure if Rooney counts as United trained.

    We could see a couple of those midfielders go though - would expect Cleverley to stay though, personally.

    have read they have a lot of transfer fees to meet this summer.

    Out of thse I think Powell, Januzaj, Zaha, Wilson can play without registering them.

    For Premier league squad you just need 8 home grown players and there is not restriction of club trained players.

    Wouldn't be surprised to see Zaha go and for Lingard to get some time in the first team, he has lots of potential in my opinion, and I suspect he doesn't have the Zaha attitude problem.

    Watched the youtube video of Ander Herrera against Barcelona and was delighted with what I saw. A midfielder who not only wants the ball but also turns and runs with it.

    Looks like he was used on the right side of a midfield 3. Im so interested in our tactics for next year. If i see a 442 again i'll be disappointed. Just want something different for a change.

    I think its safe to asume we won't see 4-4-2 as the main formation under LVG. He loves 4-3-3 and variations of that.

    I would be surprised if we sell Zaha so early. Maybe one more loan deal next season to PL club.

    That's Stanislav Manolev he is with who signed for them a week ago. Looks a done deal tbh. wonder what the fee is, considering he cost £3.5M if I remember right.

    Looked through the Dutch squad and it is so average. With Robben and RVP they have two world class players. Sneijder has been awful and none of the rest are standout players. Not in a million years did i see them topping that group nevermind scoring 10 goals and getting 9 points. I watched every game and his tactics were spot on and he got the best out of the players he had. I could not be more excited.

    Brilliant management and tactics which have been perfectly adapted for each opponent. I positively can't sit still with excitement waiting for his arrival.

    I think Blind, Janmaat and Depay have been quite good in fairness. But you're right that the squad isn't amazing on paper.

    im really looking forward to seeing mata next season, just think how good he was with Chelsea for 2 years and then his form with united towards the end of the season, an absolute world class player we are lucky to have, add Herrera into the mix really looking forward to next season with more signings on the way

    The tactics will only get Holland so far, their squad isn't great. Quarters would be a great achievement, semis fantastic with that squad.

    Imagine they won it and we had a World Cup winning manager coming in, Van Gaal would obtain a god complex and start referring to himself as Allah.
