Facebook - Unclickable photos in chat/message boxes in Chrome

Hi, everyone.

I've been having a rather annoying issue with Facebook in Google Chrome recently. I'm unable to view images sent to me in chats or in messages. I go to click an image, the screen flashes black for a split second and then I'm back to the conversation.

I've tried it with Firefox and IE and they seem to work fine; it's just Chrome that's causing trouble.

I'd be grateful if anyone can help me solve this annoying issue.

have you tried looking at FB through an incognito window?
if this works, its an add on that your using causing the fuss!

I just tried it though Incognito mode there, but it did the exact same thing...

im out so.... i use chrome too and great as it is it still has a few gremlins, screwed up boards.ie for me for a while too! (extention....)

It just happened a few days ago out of the blue... I tried scanning for malware and clearing my cache, too.

Ugh, this is so damn annoying.

Wait... I disabled AdBlock there and it seemed to fix it. Thank feck...

No, wait, the image comes up, but disappears about five seconds later...

Have u tried uninstalling,restarting,then reinstallibg chrome?

Yeah, I reinstalled Chrome earlier.

And now the images are staying on the screen. It's now working, for some magical reason...
