Last ulster football game the commentator said pictures came from BBC NI so HD might not be available. It will be interesting to see if the hurling is HD.

The satellite feeds today were all labelled SD e.g. Tullamore SD World. The info is DVB-S H.264 MPEG, I think the HD feeds would be DVB-S2 but I'm not sure about that. RTE also had two of their own feeds from Clones both SD, I think. There are usually HD feeds but nobody found any today that I know of. There is a thread in Foreign Satellite about GAA feeds.

TG4 matches usually have HD feeds as well eventhough they cannot transmit in HD.

The test card at the end of the feed says OBSERVE HD3 HD but that mightn't mean anything. OBSERVE is the company which provides the feeds, clever play on OB Outside Broadcast.
