Ebay buyer refund and fees?

I sold an item on ebay. This guy won the auction, paid, and now sent me an email wanting to cancel the order.

Annoying as it is, I don't mind this, and I am currently offering the item to the next highest bidder.

My question is can I deduct my costs when i refund his money. For example paypal took the bones of 6 euro in their fees when i received his payment. I will have to transfer a refund and pay bank fees there again. Add this with the next highest bidder being 20 euro less.

I know its not a lot of cash, but why should I be out of pocket, because the buyer changed their mind?

if you cancel the transaction, all your fees will be returned, you can always re list it if you want to try and get more
