Anyone got a link to where exam results will be posted online, like last year. The page from last year seems to be down so knowing trinity they've hidden them somewhere else on the site....

Our exam results were published today. We weren't told this date by either department nor does it seem the information is available online, we only knew they were out today because somebody had asked. They only put the usual list up in college, and then our breakdowns were available on the student record part of my tcd; the list doesn't seem to have been published online as in previous years.

Some departments have info about results, but the general college page hasn't been updated since last year it seems.

My results are out on the 17th June, if that helps. Online only this year.

I got mine today on the my.tcd.ie portal, your course secretary should instruct you.

They'll be in the Academic Record section, quite well hidden.

my.tcd.ie > "My Student Record" > "View My Academic History" > Page 2 of 2

I'm assuming that's where the results will be. Is that correct?

    Yep, spot on.

Science results for all years are apparently out Friday the 13th at 4pm anyway.

Is that for all years, are the Sophister results not out tomorrow?

TP sophister results were out before the freshman results so I guess it'd make sense that science would be, since they'd have to correct all the physics anyway.

Nah unfortunately I just called my school office, not out till Friday:(

Does anyone know if there is anything one can do if they borderline fail the junior sophister year? I know there aren't any supplementals, but is there an appeals process/voce exam that one can do to possibly bump you up a percentage point or two?

There's the regular appeals process (closes 17th June for us Science folk, even those of us in JS) where you can get it rechecked (marks might be totted up again or the entire paper remarked). If the paper was unfair (I know one of ours was a bit controversial) then it can be appealed on those grounds and then the lecturer might change the marking scheme.

Appeals don't change your result, only the outcome of your result. I believe if you win an appeal a fail can be waived, you may be allowed to sit supplementals, or repeat the year.

If you have a genuine reason for doing badly its worth contacting your tutor, but I wouldn't expect to get extra marks. If you've had difficulty in your exams the best time to do something about it is during or immediately after the exams.
Seriously if you're sick, stressed, or have made a big mistake get in contact with your tutor straight away and they might be able to help you out. Once the script is corrected that mark is final.

Our's were online before 2pm today (due on the noticeboard at 4pm). The breakdown was available at 2pm from my.tcd.ie but the course noticeboard at 4pm only had the overall result. It's worth checking my.tcd.ie during the day that the results are due if you want to know early.

I just have a question about my credits. I achieved 55 credits having failed one module but passed by compensation. Can I proceed to the next year or do I have to make up those credits?

    Thanks

Nope. You've passed to the next year.

Thanks. If all goes well next year and I get 60 credits, wont that only leave me with 235 for my degree though, and not the requisite 240?

If you pass by compensation/aggregation/other method then they give you the 60 credits for the year. You normally can't proceed without 60 credits for each year.

Hi, I'm the rep for SF MSISS, one of my colleagues passed this link on to me:

    https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?mode=AGENDA&height=600&wkst=2&bgcolor=%23FFFFFF&src=scss.calendars%40gmail.com&color=%232952A3&ctz=Europe%2FDublin

Gives all the publication dates for the School of Computer Science and Statistics

Edit: You may have to be logged in to your myzone account!

Sweet, a first :3. Does you or anyone know if they put up all the results for everyone on a noticeboard or anything, you know, 90s-style? I wanna compare, but the dart's a ripoff so I'm not going in unless I know for sure it'll be there, you dig?
