Rachel Riley predicted Chile to win the tournament.

Cesc has gone from having Barcelona blood in his DNA and being the heir apparent to Xavi, to the club willingly allowing him to leave and not being able to get game-time in a tired Spanish team in desperate need for freshness.

Coupled with Costa's form in the WC, Chelsea may be raising a few eyebrows

Or they'll get a player all fresh for the start of the season.

Last two games in this group aren't going to be too exciting

The Dutch against Chile will be a Cracker, IMO. Especially as I imagine neither wants to face Brazil in the 2nd round (assuming they will top Group A).

Its Australia I feel sorry for. They have gotten respectable results against two strong teams. Any other group and they would have had a good chance at getting to the quarter finals.

Best thing about this is being spared several dozen posts of complete drivel everytime Spain play.

I'm amazed Torres found his way to Brazil to be honest. He's been lost for the past three years.

shocked that they brought him as well.. The manager should have told him to go to a club where he'd get a regular start, to give himself a chance... But it's a bad sign of the man that he's prepared to sit on the bench at Chelsea and just take the money..

Wonder will Del Bosque get the sack, or be given a chance to rebuild.

    Another smart save from Bravo

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Nonetheless I don't think any team will really fancy playing the host, who are likely to improve in the next few games. Even if they are poor, they can always be carried by the crowd.

Least no one will be jizzing over Spain anymore. Barca next please.

You write the obituary too soon. Koke, Thiago Alcantara, Isco, Delofeu, Jese Rodriguez, De Gea, Illaramendi. Those are just a few off the top of my head, and there are others on the bench tonight who could come in. There's a whole nee generation of Spanish players all brought up to play the same way, there is the beauty of the Spanish system.

Given the evolution that is quietly being undertaken by Luis Enrique at Barcelona, Neymar being more settled next season and Messi, I am confident about next season.

Revolver, snifter of brandy and directions to the drawing room I'd imagine.

Personally I think he should step down.

Can see a few players retiring too.

Freshen things up and get some new ideas and a new style in place.

Wouldn't write this squad of players off for France 2016 and beyond.

Absolutely delighted if Chile win this. Spain need a complete rebuild if I'm honest.

Far too much complecancy in the team

Remember in the Euros when Casillas asked the ref to blow it up early out of respect for Italy?

Would be nice for someone to return the gesture here.
