Its a complete joke that Torres is brought on and Spain's record goal scorer Villa is left on the bench and Llorente isnt even in the squad.

See that's del bosque problem way to loyal to certain players. Same with the keeper. He doesn't seem to want change.

Its shocking how bad Spain are playing.

What the fcuk was that from Iniesta??

I'm amazed Torres found his way to Brazil to be honest.
He's been lost for the past three years.

starting a half fit Costa, who is unsuited to the Spanish style, has to be the stupidest decision of del Bosque's career.

That would have been a wonderful goal.

Great chance, but he did stretch a lot for that.

Unlucky, imo. Did well to get a leg to it.

Seriously, they deserve to go out with decisions like that

    Yes they do.
Del Bosque became far too complacent in the last year and a bit ,he should have dropped the likes of Pique,Torres,Alba and Alonso or Xavi but he didnt want to change the status quo and boy is he paying the price now .

Coupled with that he leaves Lopez,Llorente and Carvahal out .

Very unlucky there, he should've made it 3.

Yeah poor first touch, misplaced passes, knocking balls aimlessly down the channels, awful stuff from them.

They look to be in shock at what is happening

OptaJean: Diego Costa has failed to register a single shot on target in his 126 minutes of play at the World Cup 2014 (5 shots). Exhausted.

    Pace abuse

Spain are getting murdered on the counter attack.

Delighted for Ramos...never rated him. Completely overrated and overhyped ever since Ronaldinho tore him a new one on that famous night in the Bernabeu.

Wonder if he had more or less touches than Fred?

Any team that doesn't have enough pace and power is going to have a hard time against Chile.

Sanchez in a counter attacking team, such as Liverpool, or even how I expect United to be next season, would be frightening.

Chile are chasing everything and are hungry for a goal. You'd swear they were the ones trailing by two and staring elimination in the face.

Well at least Costa's excuse is he is barely half fit.

Spain on the way out, Holland in form and Biscuits missing a sitter. All this World Cup needs now is some 30 yard thunderbastard screamers.

Is it wrong or petty that I am highly amused by this?

pity to see one of the greatest teams of all time so short of ideas and inspiration. Well played to chile though, everybodys dark horses might even knock out the hosts in next round
