My 15 year old son is going on holiday with his best friends family and i thought i had insurance cover for him.
I have a worldwide policy for a year for my family but have been informed by the insurance company that he is not covered unless he is travelling with his parents or a legal guardian.
Anyone know of any company's that do this?

Can the other family get him insured with them and you pay the difference?

Unlikely. But if you have private health insurance, some companies will provide cover for your child(ren) once they're travelling with an adult with your knowledge/consent (I know this 'cause we're bringing someone else's 15-year-old with us). A quick call to a broker is probably the quickest way to find out.
