I think a lot of it boils down to the difference between, for example, this lady:

    Lady in shorts, exhibit 'A'

    Lady in shorts, exhibit 'B'

Theres always more Exhibit B around Dublin at the moment

As a woman I think exhibit 'A' needs to eat more carbs, you'd probably get very bruised tapping someone that skinny:D

As a non-woman I think so too. Like I said, these two are purely examples! :D

Yes, but to be fair, "B" was able to carry it off with the aid of the tattoo and the sparkly shorts.:D

I recall when I first seen Exhibit A surfacing last summer. The first time I spotted it, she was wearing a long t-shirt as well which covered up most of the shorts.
I thought she had forgotten her trousers for a moment.

I recall when I first seen Exhibit B as well. The therapy sessions are ongoing.

On a serious note, it all depends on the how good the individual looks in them, but only a subset of our natives could pull them off.

It's also like the jogging pants/running shoe trend that has taken over, it works on girls who look like they may have just come back from a run or trip to the gym. It doesnt work on the sloths who are devouring a 3 n 1 and spice bag with food stains on thier trousers.

I look good in my running pants, not gonna lie!.....but only wear them when I'm going for a run or a hike. :D :pac:

I seem to see only 13 year olds wearing them which is just awful. I don't want to be an accidental pedophile.

I have the bum to get away with those shorts, still wouldn't though.

    Good for you!
I don't think I look good in tight exercise gear because I've got naturally slightly muscly legs. It would probably look a bit better if my legs were a few inches longer but sure there's nothing I can do :(

    :(

I have long legs and a toned bum. :pac:

But I have a tummy. :( I hate my tummy. :( I couldn't wear a bikini so running pants will have to do. :pac:

I love that character, but not as much as I love Vicki Pollard. Everyone knows someone with a touch of the Vicki going on :)

    Aww you lucky giraffe! ;)
I always wanted to be that tall (blonde) long legged girl that runs so effortlesly. Well I'm not.
Although I don't complain about my bum, 'tis grand! :D

Now on the shopping note (again). Why is clothes sized in even numbers? Because I think the odd-inbetween sizes would suit me!

As for things currently annoying me: The men came to fit the bastarding water meter today. They were noisy as **** and scared the crap out of my dog in the process. For about an hour we lost water pressure in the bathroom which is annoying when you're trying to wash the sweat off your face.
And don't even get me started on the expenses the meter will no doubt inflict on my family. Boo-urns to that. Boo-urns indeed.

Unwashed people wearing unwashed clothes...yes, I know the weather is hot, but twice this evening I was nearly knocked sideways with the whiff, first in a shop, the guy was working there, and second, walking into a shop, a guy standing in the doorway...all the better to share it around. Ugh.

:( I'm gonna have to go to Limerick tomorrow and buy some clothes, really really really hate clothes shopping. I've never liked my body and it doesn't like me any more than I like it. I find it depressing trying on clothes but it's just too humid for jeans:(:(

I'm exactly the same! I hate my body and I detest clothes shopping but I have to go this weekend to get some summery clothes..I'm living in the same two pairs of shorts I own and they're digging into me a bit.
I also have to buy clothes for my summer holiday :(

I hate shopping for clothes but I LOVE when you go to the first shop and find everything you need there and then!

I hope I'm not being presumptuous, Pumpkin, and please don't take offence, but if you're plus-sized do you know where I found stocks lovely clothes?
    Tesco.

I know, shock right? But I was there last week and I was amazed by the amount of clothes, lovely ones too, and they come in all ranges of sizes.
I was chatting to a woman who was shopping and she was a size 24 and was thrilled at being able to find clothes.

But Tesco also stock clothes for skinny minnies too! :)

PS If you're having trouble finding decent shorts for women that are comfortable, have a peek at the men's shorts..wayyyy more comfortable I find!

Truly trivial, but here goes...staying in a hotel last night, self service breakfast, bright and early this a.m.
A couple arrived a while after I did. She must have made 20 trips to the buffet, in the short time I was still there. It was like something a child would do, 'oh look, cereal, [walk up and down] oh look juice, [walk up and down]oh look...let's see what else',[walk up and down] get tea, bring to table, back up, put on toast, [walk up and down several times to check on it].
The place was really quiet, so she could easily see from the table whether or not the toast was done, without the numerous trips.
There was a nice selection of stuff, but am glad there wasn't any more, or she would have worn a hole in the floor with all the walking.

I'm not sure when she actually got to eat or drink anything.
    Told ye twas trivial :D.

On the subject of buying clothes, I kind of like shopping for clothes but nearly always leave shops empty handed and annoyed that there wasn't something in my size, or what I though looked good just didn't sit right on me.

...but then there is that moment when I find something that ticks all the boxes and that makes up for the struggle.

Another clothes related annoyance, my mother has a habit of buying me the odd item from time to time. BAM - every time she gets what ever it is perfect, and it's normally something that wouldn't catch my eye in a shop. For example, last week she got me a shirt, when I looked at it I thought it looked OK, then tried it on and it was like God himself tailored the shirt for me.

Keeping the hotel breakfast theme alive I was staying in Portugal on Tuesday night.
I was shattered going to bed after a really long day so set the alarm and went off to sleep.

I got up yesterday morning still tired and went down for breakfast at 7.30am and there wasn't a sinner around and nothing set up. I asked reception what was going on and he told me it was too early. Too early says I 'what time is it?' '6.30' he says...'breakfast service starts in an hour'........ Being the tool that I am I'd forgotten to put the time on the phone back by an hour and I could really have done with that hour in the sack.

That one morning when I finally remember to root through my summer drawer and throw a very summery outfit on, leaving the house feeling like million dollars... the minute I get outside - balls, where the fudge is the sun!?

I want to buy a pair of football boots. I Just want a pair of black boots. Too much to ask apparently. Luminous yellow/green/pink seems to be all that is manufactured these days.

Putting 20 quid on Spain to win the World Cup a few weeks back. Good I hate gambling on football. (mainly cause I'm bad at it)

Glancing in the mirror before a meeting this morning to see that your have erect nipples, caused by tight fitting dress, that aren't going anywhere and feeling self-concious throughout the meeting and most likely for the rest of the day. Argh!!
