I see Woy went to the same mind games school as David Moyes.

About the dumbest thing he could do was give Suarez even more motivation to be fired up.

Now would be a good time for an incredible hulk "you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" gif

What is so wrong with saying "He's had a great season, but they have many good players, so we'll just focus on our team...", you NEVER give the opposition more fodder than they need.

Poor old Gareth Bale will never be world class so. Lad's gonna be devastated when he finds out.

That isn't just what he's said. He's disputed if he is 'world class' as he hasn't done anything in a world cup, and thus Suarez now has added motivation to step up.

Anything over Suarez would be an insult to the lad. He's broke his balls the last year for the club. If he isn't made vice captain there would be murder.

I'd make Suarez captain to be honest!

The 20-year-old German U19 international claims an offer has been made but he maintains a desire to stay on Merseyside.

However, there is competition for his signature from Turkish rivals Fenerbahce who are reported to have rekindled their interest in the forward.

“I am from Bayburt and I am a Trabzonspor fan, however, rumours that I rejected Fenerbahce because of the team I support are false,” Yesi said.

“I never said I would never play for Fenerbahce, I am a professional.

“Trabzonspor have made an offer to Liverpool. However, I have not entered talks with Trabzonspor yet. It’s an honour to be associated with them but I don’t want to leave Liverpool either.”

In Hodgsons mind he thinks he is putting pressure on Suarez when he knows Suarez isn't 100% fit. I would leave well alone though, Uruguay need a result against England so he'll already be up for it, you don't need to give him any more incentive than that.

Exactly. Its idiotic on Roy's part but we wouldn't expect much less, he should be challenging his own players to perform not the oppositions and not a player of the calibre of Suarez who has blown away his critics in England.
He measures doing something in the world cup to been world class, what exactly have Messi or Ronaldo done for there respective countries?

After Pirlo probably the best player on the pitch against England the other night. Real handful he looked.

LFC fans in HK are out in force after a rumour that Brendan Rodgers was due to arrive there on holidays -

Rodgers was never one to sign a player on hype, so those talks of Candreva just 2 days after the Italy match smell like bullsh!t. Even if they were, I wouldn't be too keen. Italian players (generally) don't seem to play as well in the PL. Obviously, there are exceptions - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_foreign_Premier_League_players#Italy

Ronald Koeman agrees to become Southampton's new manager.

    Let the player exodus begin?

Reina won't be going back to Napoli.

This is threatening to become a farce (if it isn't already), just take a pay cut, or feck off to Arsenal!

If he gets a game for Spain and performs well hopefully we'll see a few clubs come in for him. Pretty expensive sub.

Reina's been linked to Arsenal every window for 3 years, I think its pretty obvious Wenger hasn't been interested for some time.

Wenger doesn't even have to add the extra £1. on this one. :)

Maybe if we gave him a £1 discount it might flush him out?

We can't even tempt him with some French kid in the U18s, not having any.

Premier league fixtures are released this weds aren't they?

Reina's value is about £5m I'd let him go for half that and let the buying use the other half to cover his wages.

If they really want his wages off the books that's the kind of deal that's going to have to be made.

we should keep him as back up if he doesn't want to take a pay cut.

no point paying up his contract to let him take lesser wages elsewhere. the cost will be the same i'd imagine as hes going to be getting paid by us one way or another whether that be his normal wages, or the difference in his contract being paid up to let him move on.

I think so, I saw them advertising it on Sky Sports recently, hopefully a kind home fixture to open up with, a good run early doors can make all the difference as we saw last season! Mignolet was mignoleting on the opening day last season! Good memory!

Starting the season with a nice away win at OT would be pretty fun too
