Ah shure it's only Fred, he's harmless bless his cotton socks.

I expected England to lose. Pleased with the performance though.

Still struggling to understand what Willie Fraser has to do with it though.

    Care to explain?

    That's rather negative of you.

Late for us. Also late for Brazil too (it's 11:39pm there) nature of the world cup.
Shame about the Japanese. They were 1 up for most of the game. C'mon!!! :p Where is that 'burning spirit'

Something to do with both teams timezones maybe?, trying to optimise viewing in the respective countries?

More to do with England Italy game was moved for European tv, so ivory coast game switched time slots. Fifa all about the money.

I thought England played very well and were unlucky not to get anything from the game, it looks like it's going to be an interesting group with Uruguay losing their first game as well.

England deserved a draw from that game IMO.

I was in an Italian restarant with seven English friends, it was good craic but my friends did seem a bit down at the end, maybe it was the wine....

My voice is all hoarse from shouting at the tv.

I drowned my sorrows at England losing by downing a bottle of plonk. Italy plonk too but it was nice.

Yeah, but wasn't Italy's first goal absolutely outstanding?

    Some intriguing match ups today.

Can Switzerland live up to their seeding?

Can Honduras draw inspiration from Costa Rica's exploits yesterday?

Can Bosnia and Herzegovina do the football good v Argentina?

The answer is of course no.

Who else do you have? I'd say Switzerland, France and Argentina.

Good weekend so far: England lost, Dublin won, Tomás Barr destroyed a national record, Colombia won, English (Mark) finished second in NY to none other than David Rudisha and England lost.

    P.S. Upside-down Ireland won. :pac:

P.P.S. England lost. Did I mention that already?

    For tonight:

Ecuador, having a foot in both hemispheres, will totally baffle Switzerland, who will be busy counting their money.

    France will steamroll Honduras.

Bosnia and Herzegovina combined won't be able to stop Messi, Higuain and company.
