Leaving short term retail job for an internship

Hi there. So I have recently had a job interview for a summer internship in the Tourism sector. It's unpaid but it's an opportunity to get an idea of the Tourism industry (Sales). Now I am waiting for a face to face interview, but it looks that I would have to quit my retail job where I've completed two months of a three month contract. To be honest, I don't like my current job and the only real comfort is that I'm getting paid and I'm not on the dole like before. It's far removed from what I studied in university (languages) and I'm pretty sure my manager does not like me (belittles any real effort I put into my job and makes me look/feel stupid for relatively minor mistakes). I know it's an assumption but I don't see myself getting rehired, even if I wanted.

I've always toyed the idea of a career in Tourism and it's my first reply from previous attempts to get work. I'm only a year after graduating college and I have just ended up in retail because I just have language skills and no relevant background/work experience to any sector. I've even thought about going back to college to study Tourism.

Do you think it's mad of me to quit a not so stable retail job for an unpaid internship for a few months. Like I have savings and I live at home so I'd have support. I'd like to do something that would make me happy and not soul destroy me like my current job. Thoughts?

Go for what makes you happy, be it internship or not.
