Its like I always say…………….. one is better than none

If the worst came to the worst you could fashion a rudimentary swing out of it with some old rope and the help of a nearby tree, sure you could have great crack until you could buy some additional tyres and drive your car somewhere more interesting.

    C'mon estraaalia!

Why he wouldn't use new rope is what I want to know! Some people are so careless when it comes to tyre swing safety

Really worried for Australia, imagine what Holland could do to them.

Between the anthem and the end, Chile seem to be a favourite for fans of the tournament.

That last goal was a beaut, Chile proving to be the dark horse among the Spanish and Dutch giants!

    Tomorrow:

    Columbia - Greece
    Uruguay - Costa Rica
    England - Italy

Wins for Colombia, Uruguay and Italy I'd imagine.

Of course! I was reading off the Google table, which counted that as a Sunday fixture :o Ivory Coast to take that I'd be guessing.

I had a double of Mexico to win and Chile to win by 2 or more.

Oh no wait, it was a treble. Spain were in there too. :(

    Still... so worth it. :p

Yes. In the early hours of it, an hour after the England v Italy game finishes. Saturday night in Brazil.

He can focus all his time on lobbying on behalf of the tobacco industry then. I wish him well.

I thought the Philip Morris Marlboro response was funny. Apparently they sell more packs of cigs now in Ireland than pre smoking ban in 04.

With plain packaging they will have to lose their iconic design. The alleged KKK propaganda is no more. (Look at each side and back of a pack of Marlbora cigs.) :pac:

I hope England win, it's about time something went right for them at a major tournament. I have no love for Italy at all, Italians and Irish never clicked even though they were both poor and Catholic new arrivals in the new world. The 'eyeballs' tended to look down on the micks.

Delighted for the Oranje. Always the team I had a soft spot for after Ireland and England.

I'm not a fan of the Dutch tbh but last night was fantastic, it'll take some goal to beat Robben's second last night for goal of the tournament!

The team of last world cup was a bit of an aeration (although them booting the armchair darlings off the pitch had a certain cruel amusement factor) but they've always had exciting teams that just fall short or implode internally. Losers in 3 WC finals IIRC.

Yeah 3 finals, everyone always expects them to implode at every tournament but it prob rarely happens in reality!

I think last night was a combination of Holland playing well and prob end of an era for Spain, these players can't go on forever! Still wouldn't write the Spanish off tho but we could have a Brazil v Spain in 2nd round now....how mouthwatering is that?
