Just wondering would anyone be able to shed some light on this situation for me please..

Im inquiring on behalf of a friend..She was living here in Ireland for a few years and was getting a welfare payment. Her family is still living here. She would like to move back as she misses them but seen as she has a young child she wouldn't be able to unless she qualifies for some sort of payment. She left as she had to get away from a person who was harassing her at the time. She's from the u.k and 25 years old..

If she wasn't working here, what makes you think she would qualify for entitlements ?

If she's on Job seekers Benefit in UK she could transfer it to here but she would have to organise it herself in the UK before she leaves.
How long since she last lived here?

If she left so recently and was on I suspect One Parent Family Payment before she left then there is a good chance she will get it again but she can expect a lot of questions and red tape first.
