Brazil would win tonight. To Hell with Croatia. Who the F are they ? That's the FIFA decision.

Show me a tournament where no referee made a bad decision and I'll show you 15 cents of my hard earned cash. It's all part of the fun of the beautiful game of Association Football.

a fair result tonight would have been a draw but that was never going to be allowed to happen.
step up dodgy ref when we need you.

the whole thing with FIFA is corrupt

    See you in Qatar 2022

Does anybody believe this crap anymore ?

The two games played on the same day would depend on kick off time in European time it does depend on the pubs being open sadly, don't know if anyone remembers 2002 in Japan the pubs here got an extended licence to open at odd hours. 3 games on a day fir the rest of the groups from tomorrow onwards so not so bad.

Lol. I'm saying that they sometimes do. I thought you meant that there were two games played at every other opening day.

This is the second time since 1990 it hasn't happened so it just seemed like the norm.

    Tomorrow:

    Mexico - Cameroon
    Spain - Netherlands
    Chile - Australia

    Thoughts?

I'd see Mexico taking 3 points, can't call it between Spain and Netherlands and I know nothing about Chile or Aus!

Brazilians have been rioting for months now. They had to fix Brazil win in order to keep public happy.

Nor sure if I'd go as far as saying fix (not that FIFA are not corrupt venal bastards, mind you) but it definitely looked like the referee gave nothing to the Croats who I thought were tidy enough especially in the second half. At the end of the day, it's imperative to the bean counters to keep teams like Brazil in the completion as long as possible especially as it's in Brazil.

Brazil didn't look like great shakes ether. A team with a striker and midfield would have disembowelled them tonight.

It's probably really exotic in Brazil though, probably like being called Socrates or Zico here.
