    Hi guys,

Asking this on behalf of a friend.

He's trying to get in at the inner metal door panel of a 07 Hyundai Sonata.

He has removed the interior panel, however he's having difficulty removing the inner metal panel.

He's removed the screws surrounded the edges however there's two flat brass heads about 3/4 inch diameter, and he can't figure out how to remove them - he can't find a thread or slot to unscrew them.

I have a photo to describe the panel and brass fitting.

Any ideas on how to unscrew/remove these flat brass fittings?

Any help at all would be much appreciated, thanks all :)

I think that's the window regulator panel?

Is it really being held only by that or it's just the metal panel is stuck to he gasket between the panels?

Think you're bang on colm.that's the window reg if I remember right. Those brass screws hold the motor on to the reg but the reg is that whole panel so the brass screws can only be removed if the reg is taken off.

Yes, I think it's the window regulator panel alright, sorry didn't have the correct terminology, just asking on behalf of a friend :)

He doesn't think it's stuck to the gasket.

Thanks, he's going to try that tomorrow.

Is the regulator the motor that's outside the panel?

Thanks for all the help guys, really appreciate it, wasn't expecting any replies so soon and so late at night - I'll pass the info on! :)

Has he taken the glass out first?

Nope, he hasn't. Should he have?

Edit: He just said he can't til he takes the panel out first.

There's two big holes for putting a socket through and removing bolts holding the glass on

IIRC if he needs the window reg panel out he has to take off the outside door handle and lock/latch as its all one unit.

Does he actually need to take the reg out or what?
